Good

As a p40-hour worker you "merchandise"' "be a cashier" "store room control","floor sales man","visual merchandiser" and the hours you put in are alot for someone who doesn't have a basic salary..the R20.14 is too little for working 9'hours in a friday,6hours on a sunday,5 on a holiday, only have two days off in a week and one sunday in a month...

Pros: a good opportunity
Cons: less pay and long working hours..

Adapted to alot of traits

Within the two years I have been in the company.I have adapted to alot of traits that helped me grow personally and professionaly. From leaving a client happy as they walk out the to getting a high percentage on my admin from the auditor.I learned to adhere to company's goals and objectives, using their keys strategy. We have a morning ring every morning before trading.Which gives us that energy and togetherness.I have learnt that teamwork is essential to reach the daily objectives & tasks given. We know what it means to be a leader or a partner. That daily motivation given although one would feel under the weather. I enjoy the daily budget challenges. We would compete and try making more than what we were actually told to make.So the turn over could be reached. There are times where you'd have to deal with difficult customer's,but always keeping in mind that customers are always right and they come first. Its not about me at the end of the day ,it's about the company and it's profile.

Pros: There's growth and warmth within the comapny
Cons: Working hours

Excellent learning curve , growth as an individual .

A typical day at Refinery starts at 8:30 in the morning . A senior opens the store with a junior and the necessary preparations for start of day commence . The senior hands the till float to the junior which is recounted . Any other duties that were unable to be attended to due to time are attended to such as sweeping the floor , house keeping etc . A short tea break is also given to fuel everyone for the day . At 9:00 , the shop is open for business . My job as a junior is to attend to customers needs , tell them about the promotions and deals we have running in store for aswell as help them to find a size or help them choose a gift . I also run the till , so i see to any sale that needs to be finalised . Throughout the day I will try to keep the shop as neat as possible . If there are any markups or markdowns , such tasks are delegated . I also see to merchandising the stock and making the store look attractive . At the end of day , cash up is done and the store is neatened .

Pros: Flexible hours
Cons: Long hours

Good communicator

I am good when it comes to communicating with people.i am a hard worker and I am friendly.i am a good listener and good when it comes to solving problems, I'm a humble person and dedicated to my job and I'm a time keeper.working at my company is way too good because you always busy helping customers having good conversations get to know people time and again. I really working with my co workers especially my manager was a good person who likes to joke a lot.

Pros: shop assistant
Cons: you work eight hours a day if it's overtime it's nine or ten,you don't get paid if you didn't come to work.you don't get a leave before working at a company for six months.you don't get end of year bonuses before working for a year.if something is missing in the shop it's either you pay it or get a warning
