Excellent experience

Working for RCL Foods has been a great experience to me when i started honestly i was a bit scared it was a big company with lots of people but after few days i felt like i am at home the warm welcome the employees gave me even the management team especially the manager. They took me through the induction from A-Z about what the company is about when i started working i just loved what i did and i learned so many things in just few days the way i enjoyed my work i did not mind to stay behind after working hours learning to do some of the job besides the one i was doing during the production time. i now have a lot experiences i even help my supervisor with her job if she is in meetings or off or perherps in a leave.the challenging thing about my job is that the company is not making lot ot profit because of the poutry the country is importing from outside countries. the relationship with the other workers is so great they are like my brothers and sisters.

Excellent fmcg plant

qualified fitter at rcl foods.got electrical experience.i do have my ammonia license.currently studying operation management at vasity college.working at rcl foods from 2009 till present

Challenging environment

its a very challenging environment where you get thrown in the deep end in terms of work and this allows you to be challenged and bring our your true potential.

Pros: you are given freedom to be innovative.
Cons: Not too many training courses provided for development.

Average learning curve

I am currently unemployed due to retrenchement by my last employer at Rcl Foods Pty Ltd Rustenburg plant.I was a maintenance and production electrician. My last basic salary was R21500 per month.

Pros: Promotion not based on qualifications and experience
Cons: Normal working hours

Experience

Excellent growth opportunities. Diversified food manufacturing capabilities, hard work does pay of but will have to sacrifice personal time Centralized organizational structure that could lead to frustration as decision making takes longer than the norm. Results driven with high level of expectations. Middle Management level could suffer in long run as level of authority does not accompany responsibilities and span of control.

i enjoy working in a team as much as i can work individually without any supervisions, a typical working day will be working 9 hours in a day and the most frustrating thing about my job is when you need to do finalise or finish up and close the farm only to find out that the paper work is wrong and the calculations were not done correct and when you try to find one of the farmers to come and rectify their mistakes its either they are not there or they make excusses like the assistant did the mistakes not them. the relationship with my coworkers is excellent we are helping each other in every challenge we come across and we solve problems together i really enjoy working with people who are always willing to help when ever you need help. i have learned that when you are on duty you just take every challenge as it comes and do your best to make sure that you meet deadlines.

I learn fast and adapt to changes easily.

Typical work day involves co-ordinating with my co-workers on a daily basis regarding their financial, costing and budget concerns. We have a good relationships, we often communicate telephonically, through emails and I do farm visits to where they are twice in a week. I have learnt that the best method of understanding each other is through good communication skills. I enjoy to successfully provide solutions and assisting my colleagues with any financial information that they require, on time and accurately. Challenges are when I cannot complete my task due to limited access to information that is the first step before I can complete mine. Also when personnel delay providing information when required.

Pros: Since i started with the compnay i have already been promoted twice.
Cons: I believe in proper time management however i do not mind working extra hours where critical reports are due

Excellent growth and development

Handling diverse customer service Maintaining quality standard under pressured environment learnt to interact with different people Handled critical non-conformance and audit Developed teaching and supporting skills learn to merge with different management styles cover up for people who care less about their job for keeping the companies clients. Do job you actually not payed for merge with difficult personality.

working in a busy and popular company and routinely having to assist manager with Adhoc. Responsible as part of a team for administrative daily tasks.

Pros: Maintaining personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job.
Cons: Relaxed personality with excellent communication skills.
