Excellent working environment

I have grown a lot since I started working at ppc and I think its time to go out there and do what I do best. I enjoy working with customers, both internal and external. Travelling has also been one of my highlights at ppc since I managed to see places and build a good relationship with managers at other branches and all credit controller national and international wide. I feel I am ready to lead since I have led before, and share the experience that I have with my colleagues.I am still keepinhgng myself occupieedd by studying ,although its not easy especially with a family.

Pros: Great company to work for and a lot of great opportunities in other departments

Good place to be, it has managed to groom me.

It's a good company I enjoy to work there, everyone is friendly. I enjoy my job and my seniors are helpfully when you have any problem. I've managed to gain knowledge from the company.

Excellent working conditions

Receive cement orders from customer. Contact customer for requested delivery date. Create the order on SAP. Contact the transport company and give details of the delivery to the co-ordinator. Provide him with all the necessary information re the delivery, i.e hand off-load, forklift, size of the delivery, requested delivery time. He then need to book a truck. Follow up with the transport company during the day to ensure scheduled delivery is on track. Assist customers with copies of POD's. Do credits for pallets returned on SAP. Handle all telephonic queries from customers re pricing, delivery times, load sizes, type of cement. Give guidance on which type of cement to use for the job they want it for.

Pros: Great opportunity to further yourself in the sales and marketing department
Cons: There is no cons in working for this company. Excellent company to work for.

Good learning curve

My typical work day is: Managing a highly experienced engineering team. CAPEX and Cost control. Ensuring and maintaining Health and Safety of people and machinery (Legal compliance). Attending planning meetings and management meetings. Project management. I have a good relationship with my co-workers because I am approachable, friendly but not a people's pleaser. I enjoy finding root causes of problems, analyse and finding solutions to keep my brain working (Problem Solving) The most challenging aspects of my job is, telling my team bad news about things I cannot change and still keep them motivated. I have learned that I should know what influences the mood of each individual in my team, to let the next person to be better than me and feed of their energy in order to come up with good solutions. I also know that I can't satisfy everyone all the time and to handle criticism because people always have different views.

Exellent learning curve

working at Ppc is very challenging and fast paced. I get an opportunity to learn and explore not only in the HR department but also in other departments such as Admin, Production , Risk. The environment is very busy and the people are friendly and allow me to get out of my comfort zone and explore. I got the opportunity to develop my self esteem and interaction with people from different cultures and beliefs.

Learning and growth curve

working for this company made me a strong person and had to endure lots and lots of challenges. working in an area where the language spoken, I don't know. we work long hours. it was difficult to get learning opportunity at first but things got better as time went on. its a small company hence the chances of growth are small and to get promotion, its difficult.

I work for a very good company that's look after his employees, and i can recommend my friends and family to work for PPC.I learnt a lot of things from this company it taught me a lot

Idividual development plan in place

Busy day every supervisor analyst Ensuring means and availability of resources to execute the task follow a backlog ordering consumables and equipment ensuring stocks levels are maintained working with my team and the culture is great

It is a good company to work for. An excellent learning curve a good culture and safety wise it is not negotiable all in all I learnt a lot iam who iam today because of ppc
