Building Character, Endurance and Unity

Working for Omnia has been an honour. Everyday new challenges arise that require employees to think on their feet, problem solve, implement and adapt. Flexibility and adaptation to change are must have skills at Omnia. My co-workers and I are very fond of one another and we work well together as a unit. I have learnt its better to cross the finish line with others by your side. A unified team is much stronger than any individual and its more fun and has more meaning when one accommplishes successful projects with a team. What I enjoy the most is seeing myself mature in project execution and building relationships. The most challenging aspect of the job is dealing with co-workers who are not enthusiastic or helpful.

Excellent learning curve from omnia

I have developed skills from the company and learnt how to work in a hard working team ,I enjoy the fact that they encourage you as a young person to uplift your knowledge by studying and working hard .the most challenging aspect during the working environment is that you work with people who are arrogant, and not wiling to work hard

Excellent learner

The company is 100% good but the management is having a racism because the whites where working good and they where taking there time to do there jobs but when it becomes to blacks it's opposite and they where giving us alot of work to do per day that's was bad to me

Cons: No we where working 12 hours

Driven by go getters

Great company to work for although recent management changes have come with tough reforms. Culture change has made the organization very rigid and painfully corporate. Many of the long serving employees have opted to seek alternative employment as the changes have meant their working conditions changed overnight. Otherwise a good company with a sound business model. Employees wee friendly and hard working, most enjoyable is the friendships built over the years. Recently the company embarked on changing the racial profile of snr management, for many years snr management consisted of only white males. Representation of all gender and race groups is now becoming more evident within the organization. The company has a traditionally white customer base as it services predominantly the farming community. This has driven the use of Afrikaans as the language of choice on many company platforms.

Pros: Secure and well managed
Cons: Long working hours. Hard work is not always rewarded

Hard working

For staters,my previous work taught me a lot as much as it was only a contract. I had a good professional relationship with my managers.working there was always mind growing as we would work good with other fellow workers ..I enjoyed both working alone and working in groups it taught me a lot about sharing idea's .The most challenging thing that had come across at work was working in unfavourable weather conditions,sunny to say.I have learnt to do my work passionately and put all my endeavours on,and that working hard does pay of. I've learnt to respect everyone i work with regardless of their position. I've alsso learnt so much about ethics and profetionalism.

Good opportunity to work with them and I get to learn new ways to problem solving.

It has been good and amazing chance to work at Omnia. I have learnt to work with others as a team. The trainers have good interpersonal skills as we have achieved to workout problems even when we had different views and approaches. Omnia is fast growing company to my perspective and offers one a chance to learn how to operate plant safe and inexpensive. I would also say the administration is very professional and understanding. Each day we make fertilizer and this work of making granulated fertilizer takes not only daily routine but a group of individuals who have been trained to achieve best quality.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion.

Good learning area

Place is goo to learn at as an apprentice or learner new in the field, as you are free to do so with confidence as you can be exposed to not only your field but also other sectors as long as you a hard worker, only disadvantage is that you are ruled with fear of getting charged or having to make one mistake then get fired. Apart from that Omnia is a good place
