Lots of interesting processes and systems to learn

Extremely busy environment with emphasis on prioritising. Work responsibilities are different and varies everyday so does the challenges. Deadlines are pertinent to overcome and with excellent teamwork and cross pollinating job functions success is accomplished more often than not. I have not worked in this telecommunications industry and so I have learnt many functions and systems. I love learning new systems and getting to master them so this was challenging and enjoying.

Great opportunities for new recruits

Work hours very flexible. A lot of travelling. Very diverse in terms of nationalities and different cultures. First to know about new technologies. Great opportunities to create career highlights.

On the edge of new technology

The company is divided into3 main fields, Sales, PM, and Field support staff, excluding the admit groups. Because I worked with contractors in the field, the day starts at 07:00, getting my site supervisors to check all aspects of their daily activities and sharing the project plan, weekly targets and daily targets. I enjoyed teaching them technical aspects and also lessons learned from previous projects, especially if you focus on tutoring someone and they implement and grow, and you can see the impact. Being in this company on the forefront of technology you are up to date with new innovations, and yes a lot of the tasks are repetitive, but working with the customer and the public makes this fantastic.

Experienced telecommunications expert in Mobile Networks

A typical work day includes interacting with employees locally and globally. Ascertaining customer needs and ensuring that the pre-sales team can delivery on these mobile Network needs and services. Respecting co-workers is a key to building healthy relationships and and working together to achieve customer satisfaction. All tools and processes need to be used on a daily basis to let the organisation know where in the sales process you are and how far you are from achieving order intake and revenue. I enjoy the interaction with people and i seem to get really good results where there is mutual respect. The most challenging aspects of the job are price agreement as this needs to be agreed at company level as well as customer level.

Constantly skills development

A typical work day starts off with morning brief sessions with team members that are based in different countries to align the tasks of the day. Customer meetings face to face or conference calls. I enjoy interacting with colleagues around the world, it broadens my knowledge and creates long lasting personal relationships with them. Constantly working with co-works have evolved my thinking, I have learnt more reliable methods working with technical skills. With regards to presentations i have become more confident in speaking and presenting to an audience , I am able to discuss topics with ease due to my vast understanding of the technology. The most challenging aspect of my job is meeting customer demands and prioritizing tasks , as all tasks are important and needs to be attended to timeously. My job is based on SLA KPI that are always testing my knowledge.

Cons: Working with colleagues from around the language barriers create miscommunications/misunderstandings

Great overall experience from CS/PS Core and RAN , Limited Cloud Intro

I Spend a lot time in Pre-Sales with Solution, and Costing. Do customer engagement regarding the solution and Material , as well as best practice solution. Work with Various web base Tools Internally and had Past SAP experience. Absolute Love the time spend , but we all need to move one in Live. Cloud & 5G will bring a lot need Changelings and resolved out of a lot people in the Industry.

Pros: Good Enviroment and Rewards. A lot Training oppertinities.
Cons: Travel in Africa are some times a problem with countries that are not stable.

I was lead for Implementation Tender support as well as end to end Site solutioning.

As Solution Consultant I need to Understand and engage with Customer on end to end solution. Selecting the best and most cost effect solution for Customer. Sign off the Site material, agree SOR and doing Assumption and Risk-log assessment. Creating solution description for the required technology.

Pros: Good salary
Cons: weekend work and overtime

Typical work day at Nokia

A typical work day starts at six am and this includes daily checks of av equipment, office condition, cleaners security and if there is faults report, raise job cards for the work to commence. At the moment there are 300 staff members and they are from all over the world and the daily issues and problems is very interesting and demanding. The time I spend at the company, I learned the different approaches to individuals and how to maintain the the proper H&S standards in the work place.

Cons: Company is down sizing globally

Worker Harder

I have learnt a lot at Nokia i have interned there and they provide me with a lot admin & technical experience within project management & i am applying for this job cause i would like to test myself in sales maybe to further improve me as person i am confident in myself to succeed with the rights tools and people around me we can achieve goals that are set for us and achieve beyond those targets i would really add value to where ever i can
