HSE Career & approach

My day entails HSE communication, inspection & awareness to employees & visitors. managing security & giving guidelines to secure property.I developed a well trusting relationship with employees, this was through coaching & behavioural change approach. I am challenged by continually having to coach & guide employees to behave & work safely. Through my career I learnt that good relationship & trust earnst support & respect from colleagues & subordinates.

I have learned quite a lot

Giit is a big very diverse company process very interesting except management not so ogernised there’s a quite lot of nepotism and favoritism education not recognizing that much that much,industry housekeeping is a big problem management not emphasizing on house keeping

A day at Nampak Glass

A typical day at Nampak Glass is always one that's busy and sometimes crazy. There are certain days that's less busy and more relaxed where I have time to focus more on customer queries and run around the plant and get them sorted out immediately even if I am not supposed to but waiting for other departments is frustrating and very challenging and that is when I lend a hand and do investigations together with them to speed up the process to assist as I know we are penalising a customer and to me the customer is our biggest asset and without a customer we are not a company. I enjoy the physical part of it as it a problem solving issue which I love.

Excellent learning curve

omaExcellent learning curve ,I got to learn work with air compressors, water pumps , motors, conveyors, crushers vacuum pumps,fans, cooling towers just to name a few, the co-workers are polite and welcoming to everyone, if you are in to Engineering this a good company to be at starting from the chemical side were different chemicals are mixed in order to form a colour needed for a bottle. What i enjoyed most was when I was given a section to take care of , the responsibility comes with lots of challenges that tests your artisan skills in that way you get to grow ( experience wise)

Great company with good salary benefits

The company does pay well on the market but the working conditions are quite strenuous especially on the ground. The heat in the factory is quite too much, one has to figure out ways to survive it. Chances of a promotion are there, depending on which department you are working for.
