My typical day will be to check logs, meetings and advice to Web developers, system administrators, I have a great working relationship a lot of knowledge transfer, I have learnt a lot about Cyber security, Penetration testing, securing our perimeter is the most challenging aspect of my work

Opportunity of a new role and environment

Liquid Telecom with it focus in Africa exposes one to a broader market where no two days or projects are the same. Through it collaborations with partners it offer a great environment to learn and grow. Typical day include assisting sales with RFPs, product training and collateral. Managing Day to day service delivery anomalies and billing queries. It also involves new product development and enhancements.

Pros: Growth due to vast technology exposure
Cons: Highly stressful

Experiential Learning at LTSA

I run different projects on a monthly basis which focus on business efficiency, operational effectiveness and customer requirement satisfaction. My day begins with me going through my schedule for the day. I go through the project plans, tasks to be done, responsible individuals, deadlines and facilitate to the relevant stakeholders. I attend my meetings and begin to do my work where I draft, document and walk processes, to ensure AS-IS business process followed. I measure and review output data from processes to ensure work consistency. I create dashboards for awareness and indication of work-in-progress as well as work outputs. I monitor project progress, stakeholder feedback/update, losses and gains. I most enjoy analyzing the output data and improving processes where applicable. At the end of my shift, I prepare reports of work to be done, work-in progress as well as work done and send it to my manager on a weekly basis.

Cons: Individuals working in silos

Career Experience

My most career experience is in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Content Development and Project Co-ordination. I have worked on many projects including aNewSpring and Moodle managing the look and feel of the systems as well as maintaining both systems. I am as comfortable with systems training as I am with interpersonal communication and soft skills training. I am a hands on and very practical person, an excellent communicator, organizer, coordinator and troubleshooter. I lead by example. With a predominantly pragmatic and bottom line approach, my strengths are best utilized in a business support role and my passion in business is encouraging professionalism, a desire for life-long learning, positive personal growth.

Excellent learning curve

The company is filled with a lot of vibrant people who are skilled and knowledgeable. The company does provide training courses to its employees for self-development which will also be of beneficial to the organization. The working environmental is conducive and it is zero hazardous. Safety comes first in the organization. Change is one thing that is difficult for lot of employees to adopt. However, there are workshops to teach the importance of change and also highlighting the trends of what is happening in telecommunication industry. I have learnt how to engage with everyone despite the level of position. I value respect.

Pros: Great opportunities to attend training courses offered by business.

Excellent learning curve

REPORTING – Produce accurate, weekly sales reports and business analysis of the activities to meet the monthly commitments and provide reports to the relevant forum – Ensure to achieve forecasting accuracy; weekly, monthly and quarterly views (Pipeline, WIP). – Track new end to end business activities and processes against sales growth. – Work closely with KAMs (Key Account Managers), Products and regions providing relevant reports. – Create dashboards, reports and other key reporting metrics within SaleForce.com and Power-BI – Help create and manage commission tracker to manage/track payments for channel partners.
