Excellent big company to work for

Review all safety procedures,working in a group of 20 people is better because of close relationships, becoming like a family. Working from 7 - 4 and you can go home and relax with your family. The work is hard ,physical and can become monotonous.The company organising fun days to relax and do team building.

Hard working

On a day yo day basis, I tend to Breakdowns, services and preventative maintenance on drill rigs, light vehicles, heave vehicles, pums and motors. Working for a contractor company on Sishen mine.

Pros: Good job security
Cons: Location is not where I want to live.

Challenging opportunity

I have strong interpersonal skills and a great leader. I enjoy working with people and my job is so challenging because I lead a very diverse team and the various difficult conversations I always encounter when dealing with Unions

Difficult to get used the environment

a good working environment but a very slow pace in development of employees. The company's size is very big hence people mostly suffer from being unnoticed nor matter how hard they work.

Exciting and extraordinary journey

People-oriented individual who starts the day with a glance at previous day performance. On my arrival at work I create an awesome day by greeting colleagues and friends, finding out about their wellbeing and that of their families. I then thank and recognize everyone for previous day performance. I have learned that giving people individualized attention motivates and encourages team members to give discretionary effort in their work. I enjoy the renewed focus brought by the drive for benchmark performance. The most challenging aspect of the job is to influence everyone to rally behind a common goal

Learning curve

Not transparent and unilateral decisions. Multiple standards and no unity in management. Good stuff on the ground, united workers. Good programs to modify and advance mining plans. Poor execution of plans.

Pros: Average salary package, medical benefits. Top safety programs
Cons: Long working hours, poor housing distribution. No transparency and multiple standards with management not involving its self with grounds man
