My platform where I build myself up.
My company is a business where logistics and transporters are usually dealt with ,my typical day at work would be dating courier packages and filling,I would do Finance mostly at month end or 24-25th of each Month ,because at that time transporter recons and journals must be prepared.I had to collect B_BBEE certificates and check if agencies are SANAS approved. Ordering of Stationery was also one of my responsibilities. Since we have this place of over 100 workers sometimes people are rude and not at all fun to work with ,but I always remain nice and friendly greeting everyone even those who are rude,because in a workplace you have to be there to work and not encourage fights or be bothered by others negativity,but other than the rude ones getting along with people is one of the things I do best. my journey taught my the difficulties in a workplace and made me see that i can do anything i put my head to.

Cons: i felt like i can not move further than filling.

I have learnt a lot in the 3 years that I have been in the logistics environment
The Company that I work for manufactures tissue for the Twinsaver Group. We currently producing 30tons a day of the toilet line. In that being said I run the warehouse where the products get stored for a short time. I arrange about 6-8 Superlink Trucks per day to load and deliver to either the other Twinsaver sites or the DC's. My functions are handling production of twinsaver, maintaining the warehouse and dispatching daily.
Pros: Time management & Attention to detail
Cons: Require Forklift license. (driving for 3years without)

Excellent learning curve
- Its was challenging as it is a total opposite when you are from live payroll, as it is a centralized payroll. - Adjustment which is good for someone like me, who is always looking forward to an exciting day of learning new things. - To find new methods: Responding to emails in the morning, - Check what input we received and urgent that needs to be sent to our data captures. - Double check what you've sent the previous day is loaded correctly. - Working good with my team, what helped us is communicating as what and who does what. And discuss among ourselves on issues arise. - I've learned a lot, can't even count but most of all character wise and find ways to make my payroll easy to be understandable in all levels of managements. interacting with employees and make them understand on what ever query they have with there salaries and live the office satisfied with the answers I gave to him/her. - Management who do not respect payroll deadline.

Dayshift, loading of chocolates in the morning and dispatching of trucks. Replacing driver and crew that are absent Following up on 2nd trips drivers Tracking of local and long distance Transhipment trucks, using Mixtelematics Reviewing planning Planning of drivers for following days deliveries and arranging for additional resources when required Monitoring of drivers fuel consumption Arranging servicing amd COF for trucks Nightshift Planning of DC loads, local and country Planning of long distance loads Warehouse bay plan for picking and routing into cagea Overseeing loading of trucks Bay export for expertsiators to track trucks

Normal day
Check that all system are working and functional. Report any problems to IT on web and file transfers. Check all help desk call related to FMS and contact contractors to get info. Get time and targets on all jobs relating to help desk calls. Report to our CEO on all matters. Check progress on all new installations. Prepping of equipment for shipping to sites for installation.

Need room to grow
Having worked in the FMCG industry for the past 15 years I have been privileged to have learned and grown from a receptionist to an Executive PA. Over the last 13 years as a PA, I have undergone 6 Managing Director and Executive changes and am competent in adapting to change. I view myself as a vibrant, positive person. My strengths lie in attention to detail, organization skills and communication. I have strong inter-personal skills and enjoy engaging with people at all levels. I work well in a fast paced environment and cope well under pressure
