Always a challenge due to working with different kinds of people
Safety is most important due to working under ground and it is abnormal working conditions. Have to work as a team. Have to achieve goals that are set.

Ecellent learning curve
I am a fast learner, able to work long hours nd very good in team work. I have no working experience in Electrical Engineering but i am willing to learn. I am well mannered and i need the job to gain experience and learn more in the work field. I know computer from my last contract. I love solving problems and i do not give up until i do. I can work under pressure. I love to be taught where i do not know. I ask questions if i do not understand. I love helping out and i do not mind sharing ideas. I listen even well to instructions nd i respect my co-workers. I follow precautions and take care of my responsibilities. I love to work. I like patient and understanding senior for me to understand more about the work

I'm good in working in a team and equally good to work alone if required to do so...
I'm working underground and is responsible for all conveyor belt and submersible pumps and high pressure pipelines on my current level...I do all structural repairs and designs and do have 5+ years semi skilled boilermaker experience
Pros: Site foreman or even engineering foreman
Cons: No problem working long hours and holidays

Excellent
It's a very big mining company and the second world platinum producing company with more than 30000 employees,the work I did introduced to different kinds of characters and how to deal with all of them.i will forever be thankful for the opportunity I got there,now I'm looking forward to a new challenge where I can showcase my talent.

In-service training
Plant spot checks. Quality control check on chemical reagents in the laboratory. SCADA control room. Running tests. Report writing. Share tasks to be done for a day with a colleague. Working with a team when the task at hand requires heavy work man power. I have learnt to practice engineering skills I a production environment. Running tests and writing reports to solve problems in a plant have been my favourite work. It is challenging to collect test samples for a crucial task to be carried out when some of the equipment breakdown.
Pros: Learning and discovering techniques in running the plant is unlimited.
Cons: The authority of a student is not as effective as that of a permanent personnel.

Good learning curve
It was a good learning curve,which made me think of furthering my studies next year as am still a student of occupational healthan safety management.am will to register next year for a degree because the end of 2017 am completing my diploma.working in a mining industry is very challenging an when you have qualifications for the job it makes your job easy an even the workers for safety department really inspired me to study further.

I feel like i have been undermined overall because i was getting more money when i was an artisan
I am a general foreman working with different sections and my relationship with my subordinates it is perfectly fine and we get along. I have learnt that in the mining industry people follow the rules and regulations, policies and procedures of the company. I enjoy when all my co workers are at work everyday so that we can push the production safely with efficiency and a cost driven mentality.my challenges are when we a have a shortage of workers I struggle to produce the daily task I have been given.

Impala platinum better
Impala is better than Sibanye gold. I would like to go back to impala and work till i go on pension. I can go back now ifam called. Management style is bad. Organising not satifactory. Care culture not practice. Respect to officials minimized. Old systems and culture used.
Pros: none hear bt at impala great opportunities are there.
Cons: long overtime hours that are not paid.but at impala all overtime hours are paid.
