Great company

A day in Dc , fun, pressured and comforting knowing that a team of strong individuals can come together in a time of work crisis and work together . FC is one of its Kind and lives by its values , one village one tribe one family. AS part of a finance we get together once a year for a conference building values for the next year, Family,respect,growth,Integrity and Security is what we hold close to heart. I enjoy most training novices that come into the company giving them finance knowledge of using our system.

Pros: not easy to move to another department
Cons: Salary structure

Excellent learnings from the company, very good ethics

I typically do a lot of research in order to call my clients. I have a very strong relationship with my team and my team members. We work very closely in achieving our targets. I have learnt so much with regards to the travel industry, this is the first time I have gotten into travel. I love meeting new people and speaking to new people every day. The most challenging of my job is getting the appointment and getting to speak to the decision maker, but I am getting better every day.

Pros: Great opportunity to meet different people
Cons: they don't pay enough commission.

Best People's and recognition

I enjoyed providing best customer service (internally and externally). I ensure that they receive the best quality service by giving them the best communication without any delays and responding to queries in time.I aim to do work I enjoy and can excel at, putting 100% effort into everything that I do. My experience working for FCTG exposed me to different travel products and different systems. I am one of the team members that had the highest volumes of accounts and yet still maintaned high focus on attention to detail with minimal write offs. I have always exceeded the given daily target raised by my Team Leader and have been acknowledged as the top perfomer in the team. I got to learn new systems and have always requested to assist my team members with the work load that they may have especially when there was a deadline. I was also acknowledged by my team leader for being the best team member to have a query log with the least write offs. I was also given an opportunity to train new members.

Learned Amadeus! Unfortunately was retrenched after training due to Covid-19.

I was only there for the training and was unfortunately retrenched du to Covid-19!I did however enjoy the training especially learning how to use the software, it showed me how easily I could pick up new skills

Stressful

Very stressful working in the travel industry as you are working with bookings sometimes worth hundreds thousands of money and also a dream and experience. People trust you with their hard earned money to make a dream come true and there is a lot of things that you have to check and advise. You work as a team but the team achievements are only as good as your individual contribution as well and you also become a family. I have learnt a lot in time management, working with clients and building relationships with not just colleagues but also with clients that will come back just because of you. nships with not just colleagues but also with clients that will come back just because of you.

Pros: Good potential for earning if you are willing to work long hours
Cons: Long hours, very stressful

Administration Clerk

I have 7 years experience on Invoicing(Data Capturing) and Im able to fit into any environment and pride myself on being able to work with all individuals in the organization a team player, hard worker ,I motivate myself, and avoids confrontations, but when the need arises I can be assertive and unwavering in my resolve, have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to rapidly build client and internal relationships. I communicate well at all levels My strengths are mainly financial due to my passion for accuracy and knowing the detail. I work together with finance team to build a financial reporting structure, which provides all the relevant controls required to ensure an effectively run organization.

Pros: Does not give up easy and will work until the job is done.
Cons: I get stressed when I miss a deadline

Eye opening. Exposure to other countries

Target based. Not much care for employees. Racist management, people get promoted based on race. We had to bite our tongue as people of color. We couldn't speack up against the unfairness of how we were treaded.

Pros: Travelling
Cons: Overworked and underpaid
