Excellent learning curve, learn a lot as students

I have four years of work experience in oil refining. Some of my duties include operating, optimising, and conducting laboratory tests. Being in the role of a process controller has taught me to troubleshoot, work under pressure, think on my feet, and to work in a team. I have also worked in the role of a stand-in supervisor, in which I was able to lead my team to achieve our daily production targets.

Great opportunity to gain knowledge and experience.

FFS Refiners provides young engineers with a great opportunity to gain much needed experience within the work environment. It provides training as well as encourages personnel to further expand their knowledge and qualifications. People for the most are.friendly and helpful. Days can vary between extremely busy to relatively quiet. Standard work hours are quite reasonable. However on numerous occasions overtime work would be required. Opportunities for growth maybe quite limited as there is a flat management structure present at the company.

Pros: Gpod opportunity to learn and gain experience.
Cons: Work environment can be quite demanding and hours long.

I learned to be a fast worker without doing mistakes because the job I did requires fast things bare in mind sometimes I work alone operating the laboratory on my own so I'm a critical thinking and fast decision making

Excellent learning curve

Ffs Refiners is good working company that you can gain alot of experience and be familiar with lots of engineering practice since you get expose everything that is happening within the company. Their employees share the knowledge that they have and they are humble and united.

Great learning curve

Ffs gives employees time to work on their own without supervision. Hoever there is mo growth in the cmpany and they pay on the lower scale. An employee with Drgree in Chemistry will be paid less than R10000 a month and management claim they pay according to makert which is not true.

Pros: Working without constant supervision
Cons: Less opportunity to grow and company does not pay enough. HR management has no respect for employees, he speaks anyhow

Good learning environment, wide range of experience to gain

Company has very good benefits , it is a nasianal based company throughout South Africa . Very wide range of experience can be gained at the company . Always ongoing projects and improvements .

Excellent

 Constant management of the plant process.  Ensure clean and effective plant in applying correct and inspection procedures.  Prevention of wastage and other resources used in the process.  Accurate record keeping of all variant readings, subsequently administer adjustments where necessary.  Update all relevant production files where necessary.  Maintain good housekeeping standards.

For learning more about process control and troubleshooting

My work experience at FFS Refiners has given me a clear grasp on what to do as a process controller. My work there not only required monitoring the process in the control room, I had to go into the plant, investigate and report any problem that I see. It has been a great and valued learning experience and I would like to move on to a more challenging environment.

Excellent career start

I work as a senior process controller leading a shift of very dedicated process controller in a very motivational oil refinery environment, and I apply my skills in leadership to ensure all tasks are carried in accordance with the health and safety act at all times
