EXCELLENT LEARNING CURVE

TYPICAL WORK DAY:WE BE THAT WE WORK FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY AND SATURDAY TO SUDAY IF ONLY YOU ON STAND BY,BUT IF THERES CHANGES IN YOUR COMPANY I WILL BE WILLING TO CHANGE.TYPE OF JOB WE DO OUT OF 100% IS THAT WE MAINTANANCE ELECTRICAL NETWORK(60%) FOR E.G REPAIRING BROKEN HEADLINE CONDUCTORS,INSTALL CABLES,TRANSFORMER,SECTION BREAKERS,REGULATORS,ANY TYPE OF METERS AND ANY TYPE MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER& ETC.OTHER JOBS THAT I HAVE DONE ARE CONNECTING A SINGLE PHASE MOTOR FORWARD AND REVERSE,3 PH MOTOR RESISTANCE STATOR AND 2 SPEED 3 PHASE MOTORS.WE DRIVE (20%) AND WE DESIGN (20%) MY RELATIONSHIP AT WORK:I RESPECT MY WORK COLLEAGUES,I DO AS I AM TOLD, AND CO-OPERATE WE ANY ONE AND I HAVE NO CHALLENGING ASPECTS SO FAR ABOUT MY JOB WHAT I'VE LEARNED IS TO HAVE A GOOD CHARACTOR,INTEGRITY,TO GIVE MORE TIME IN WHAT I DO,TO LOVE AND DO MY WORK AND TO RESPECT PEOPLE AND THE PRODUCT WHICH ARE DEALING WITH WHICH IS ELECTRICITY WHAT I ENJOY THEMOST IT IS DOING MY WORK AND LEARNING MORE ABOUT ELECTRICITY

Idilogical improvement

The technical field has many challenges which ranges from technology to implementation. I personally have a great relationship with my fellow co-workers and also with management. I have learned that one can never stop learning as things migrate daily and one needs to be relevant with the times. I have leaned to patient and more understanding to accommodate people of different character. self-development forms part of career strengthening life.

Result oriented, strong indipended employee

Stressful work Deliver on time quality work with less resources Dealing with different personalities in all walks of life, respect and my attitude to work help a lot to go along with all kinds of people. I have learned that governance is very important on all that we do Mostly there is no sense of urgency in most of the employees, that means you have to follow-up personally for some of work to be done

Pros: Great opportunity to learn and establish contacts
Cons: Too much of responcibility for less remuniration

I've learned lot of things like fault finding how to use a multimeter tester

So far i want move to a higher level than the one I was working right now i want to upgrade my skill and what i was doing is to do line maintenance line construction fault finding cable jointing

Pros: Mostly i like to work in a group so that we can share the ideas and be a brothers keeper
Cons: I enjoy working normal hours but not saying if there's a need of working after hours i couldn't manage like if there's a break down

Good to work for

The company is a good company just has no room to grow. You get overtime and all. It has different opportunities to to work in at the bottom you need extensive experience to go higher in the ranks .

Pros: Good to work for if you want to be flsafe from retrenchment
Cons: Long hours and overtime not paid

What i learnt at Eskom

The work was alot but i enjoyed alot. I related alot with the other employees and we worked well together. I still communicate with some co workers, we usually call each other I was challenged alot by negative customers, i was trained to to allows remain,positive where the customer says what to you, i learnt to remain calm in what ever the cuatomer says to me when he or she is critising the customer service. I enjoyed working working in thw outbound and closing quries that were already attended by the technicians, and taking calls from people who are saying thank you for the service that they recieved from Eskom.

Pros: I am a,hard work and have alot of chances to be employed and promotion
Cons: 9 hours

Prefect for begining technician who only want to specilized in there field of expectise

In short Eskom for narrows once ability, it channels you to one specific aspect of the job, for e.g. if you are a technician will never know the project phases and standard but execute the final product.

Pros: It cares of it's employees H&S, that i must congradulate.
Cons: No adequate IDP

I HAD LEARN HOW TO JOIN CABLE M.V OUT OF ESKOM I HAD LEARN HOUSE WIRING

I AM HARD WORK WHO WILLING TO LEARN M,ORE AT ELECTRICAL FIELD I NEVER ABSENT MYSELF AT WORK WITHOUT REASON I AM ALWAYS AVAIL MYSELF IF I AM NEEDED AT WORK.

It is very important to work as a team especially when theres project needs to be complete,

Working for eskom company it is great because can explore in the engineering field,working with my co-wokers is very nice I learnt from them because they thought me well in this field, I enjoyed doing commissioning and testing transformers.The only one challenge that I associated with is for us drive a long distance when we coming from the site.

Excellent technical skills

Good company to train and work in..i really learnt a lot and that enabled me to be more technical and continued to improve my skills. I had a very good working relationship with my co-workers and I continued to learn and grow with them.i have learnt to appreciate the little things in life and put other people needs first before mine. The most challenging thing was to work under rainy stormy weather ensuring that the customers get continuity of powers supply and that taught me to be patient and initiative..
