Excellent in developing employees
Our department work very closely together. My team will have 5-10 minutes check-in in the morning to ensure everyone is informed about urgent matters that needs to be attended to. We are free to ask each other for assistance if need be. We are a caring community, meaning we will support each other especially in sickness (not just the employee, but also the employee's family members) We work hard, but we also try to keep the humor in the office to ensure that we feel good about what we do I love my co-workers and we have mutual respect for one another The most challenging aspects of the job is to ensure that the almost retired employees still feel needed and to understand how to assist them in their career at that age I thoroughly enjoy our monthly safety walks in the park, where we will enjoy some refreshments afterwards

Workmanship
Eskom was the best company to work for Customer laiasing skills and reaching targets to maintance leaving customers with supply restored in their homes. Team work was fabulous mostly we would along with co workers for which most required me to have a team to restore damaged and repair conductors to be crimped together and restore electrical supply to affected area of affected customers in block area. I have learn that customer satisfaction is highly important, and to respect your customers and listen to them for they make your easier to handle in most cases. It has taught me to be matured and be able to handle hard customers and build rapore.
Pros: Being promoted from assistant to being an authorised technician
Cons: Overtimes and being under pressure due work lias

When given a chance to participate
It frustrates a lot when we do not find a fault, I have good relationship with my coworkers, I've learned to work with teams and respect also to give my all when working, I enjoy joining cables and the challenging aspect about my current job is the lift cables
Pros: There are opportunities for promotions

Protection Technician
Four years ago I have graduated and received the title of Technician in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Tshwane University of Technology. I consider myself as well organized professional, with sound knowledgebase about electrical engineering, able to do multiple tasks at once, and manage a team. I am good in communication, and proven leader, which is verified by several successful project implementations, listed in enclosure to this letter. As a most relevant to the advertised post I would like to point out that I have been working as an Electrical Technician for Eskom for six consecutive years. My responsibilities there included Power system studies and Protection settings (grading), selection of Current transformers and conductor ratings.

Work Experience
I am fully trade tested with Eskom company.I have 3 years experience working under supervision. My duties are fault finding,circuit disign ,panel wiring, motor test, joining of cables.Working in a team help me in many ways, how to talk to the customers.When the customer is angry what must I do to put a smile on his/her face?

Design of substation in fact the designs in particular
I am working well with the substation, electrification designers as I am working as a Draugthsman and furthermore I assist in the land development people during the approval and drawing of sld's using the small-world programm ENS, I work hand in hand with the other draughtpersons , over this past three years i have learned a lot in dealing with the different people as we work with the different stakeholders during the projects meetings. the most challenging part of my job is when I have to meet the deadline at a very short notice given work as I have to compromise my family time with that of working but I always make it sure that no project/s get delayed because i have to make excuses.
Pros: yes there is a possibly great opportunity for promotion
Cons: yes I do work long hours when needed

Working with LV,MV and HV electrical equipments
Learned with one of the best companies in South Africa,preparing installations of electricity, installing wire ways.efficient time management team work and good communication skills. I've learned how electricity is essential and can be dangerous with no room for mistake and always protect the equipments and animals/people.

Excellent learning space
I have just completed my national diploma: Electrical engineering (heavy current) at Durban University of Technology with intent to pursue studies toward my bachelor of technology in 2019. My in-service was conducted at Eskom-distribution. As a technician my aim is to successfully obtain work that is in line with my field of study I’ve taken interest in this learnership because of its suitability for a student like myself with minimal experience ,whilst providing me with a platform to acquire valuable experience that will increase opportunities in the future. I consider myself detail and deadline orientated electrical technician who is able to carry out preventative maintenance tasks with ease as well as modifications to relevant plant and machinery with the ability to install repair and maintain anything I put my mind too.

Excellent learning curve
Learn to do switching and operating in low and medium voltage apparatus. Learned to wire panel , sequences throught my apprenticeship & fault finding.Enjoy fault finding and designing of circuit diagrams and learning new things .Good relationship with co-workers since I prefer maintaining a good and safe working environment.
Pros: If understanding and reach requirements and have the ability, promotions are recommended
Cons: Willing to work long hours , not to leave break downs without find a solution .
