Begining of greatness

A typical day in my work place consists of me dealing with customers of different race and creed im very personable and animated which olways puts people at ease thus making me aproachable i pride myself in my people skills my favourate saying is that i could sell ice to an eskimo ,what iv learnt in my previous job is team work and accountability, what i enjoy the most is a satified customers and achieving whatever goal i had set for myself in a day.

I loved my job and I learn much things such as working as a team .I have learn how to treat customer with respect .actualy how to treat a human being . Likely I learn a lot abaut how to manage stuff and work with focus.I enjoyed working on a customer service department becouse I lean how to handle quiry .assist customers with claim. I enjoyed to talk with people and seen many faces .the worst chalenge that I experience is when I was helping customer abaut claims .becouse many when they came there were In tears and I have to make them feel comforted and ecourage them that is not the end of the world thy will overcome this chalange . I loved helping customers

Character building

My job required that I have a flexible life, in that we had to travel to different towns to carry out the stock taking task. Me and my team mates had to work as a team at all time, tackling different aspects of the task individually so that we could cover more work at the end of the day. We pulled together. It took a lot of positive energy and courage to report to work daily, as carrying heavy boxes and standing all day was strenuous. This experience taught me about work-ethic, concentration and organizational skills. It was fun working with a team that kept each other motivated and I enjoyed seeing different towns.

Pros: Bookkeeping skills, admin skills.
Cons: Not Mentally Challenging

I would like to riveiw my edcon salary

I am a vibrant lady wanting an opportunity to work for your company. I am currently working for Edcon as Stock Admin Investigator. I have interest in this position because I know that my potential will be fully used. I have been in this field for 4 years, and have gained a lot of experience with communicating with people, organising skills, computer literate, punctuality, balancing stock for our stores. Typing and customer service.

Enjoyed the challenge

Lovely sales environment ....get to move a lot of units in digital department. Wish it can be streamlined efficiently ....stock can be hard to receive on some occassions Enjoy customer interaction .....customers appreciative of the environment

Excellent working condition

working for Edcon has taught me a lot, from working with clients and handling customers grievances on a daily basis. Edcon is a very big company so new project comes in everyday and finance department is always affected as a results learning in this department knows no end., what i love most about my team and manager is that though the work load gets hectic at times, we always find a way together to tackle all the issues. Edcon as a whole tries its level best to put its employee first, we have sample sales every first Friday after month end,we a stuff discount in our store, we also have two bonuses every year as well as the share divided twice a year

Good company to work for

Edcon is a good company to work for where the relatiin between manager & her subodinates is well mantained. My duties as admin includes manging store finances & working with cash clerk on daily basis to ensure smooth running of the store . A typical day in my store would start by ensuring the arenenough cashiers in the store , them moving tonstock room to check & balance the inventory , then moving to do office work which is filling & checking of cash fikes & float money , from there i would go back to floor until end of day

Excellent customer service experience

the day starts off with a typically movition meeting. things the company is doing right and whats not and how we can approve on. We then prep our work stations. do abit of house keeping. then customer service every second. selling and making sales to get to a set out target. we help around where we can with till operting and when the truck delivers we help set out deliveries. what i most enjoy is my co workers, they always friendly at all times. that makes my dat go faster.

Cons: never get seen as to get promoted

Good learning experience

I work 5 to 8 hours a day 108 per months and I have good relationship with my co-workers. I have learned how important customer service is at our store and edcon always consider their customers more important than anything else. I enjoyed learning new things everyday and delivering a good service to customers. The most challenging thing I have learned is never argue with a customer.

Pros: excited opportunity
Cons: incompetent management, long working hours and no overtime payment
