Excellent place to learn
I enjoyed working with edcon as i was working with different managers and people i learn to respect people and do a given task within a given at given time. The job wss very challenging as i have to adapt to a new manager afer every teo weeks but it was a quite experience. I am people's person because i get alone with co-workers as their were assisting me in my other assignment. Working with edcon was a great experience.
Pros: Great opportunity to grow in cooperate world
Cons: Long working hours even in holidays and weekends

I, AKANI EVANTS MASHELE, currently completed my Diploma in INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY (SOFTWARE DEVEOPMENT). Growth within company
i have q national secretary diploma, i worked for Edcon a s secretary for 4 general managers for 9 years. i personally feel as i am a extrovert working in corporate is aajor bonus as im very flexable and easy to deal with various people.

I am an intern, have been here for six months.
I am at Edcon in Human Resource Department. My duties are but not limited to: • Creation of adverts on Soft scape • Advertising internally and externally • Shortlisting of candidates and inviting them to interview • Compiling interview guides • Arranging and conducting interview • Make offers to accepted candidates • Compiling new starter packs documents for new employees • Preparing of Appointment Authorisation Forms, Letter of Appointments and Flexible Remuneration • Calculation of benefit Salaries and Total Packages • Uploading employees on my Focus System to grant them employee numbers • Conducting Reference check through MIE and Telephone • Preparing tracker for missing documents on new starters • Capturing of SDL accounts( under banking) • Updating spread sheet tracker for terminations, maternity leaves etc. • Capturing of new employee on my focus for Document Collection Campaign • Confirmation of employment • Contract for Location allowances

Having trainings if the is some changes to our company
My shift stated at 7:30 to 17:30 nornally everday including sundays and public holidays.we are having a good relationship with my colics as i am the one who schedule them and making sure that all the department are having staff coverage .i have learnt that if u are managing people u suppose be patient and always understand their needs .i enjoy being at work during thusdays when we have meetings because we share our views on how can we improve customer service and also on how to make sale as well as preventing stockloss in our business .the most challenging time its month end .where by we have high volume of customers that need our attention.and during stock counts because it has got lot of work to be done during stock counts

edcon its a retail head office company ,where we process payment for retail employees ,capture their weekly store schedules, resolve the queries ,do the filling ,we capture their under banks and essure out their payslips if requested by the employee

Hi, im Mgobeni Benayi im looking for job where by i can do any job which u can give me because im dreaming big for my future where i will also love your company and i also know how to work with other due to control my attitude and emotions where i also know how to manage time and how to prepare my self, i would also like to support my family, where there's my brother who is in university where i will also like to help him due to finacial problems I am a person who always knowing who i am and where im from and how to change my life, im a person who like fun and excitment always at home and while im at work. Make sure that daily admin is reconciled. Make sure that all deliveries are received and unpacked .floor ready.Give daily feedback on all discrepancies found .Make sure that department hazard counts are done and discrepancies are investigated. Hold morning meetings with staff to motivate and communicate budget. Provide training to staff where needed.I enjoy being a team player and leading as an example. Developing staff in areas of needs and motivating them.I have learnt to treat every individual based of their strengths and weaknesses. The most challenging thing is when the store is not meeting their budgets.My relationship with my co -workers has grown as we have one on one discussions on how to archive our goals.I have grown to to store visits with my regional operations manager .Make sure that my feedback is delivered on time
