Excellent learning opportunity
Mostly admin and recruitment tasks for me some days are hectic and some are fine.Co-workers are helpful and nice. I have learnt to manage my time and prioritizing very well. I enjoy the working environment.

I would like to gain new experience in a different sector and learn more
I have learned quite a lot in the sector that iam in.10 years operational and visual/marketing experience.enjoyed working With different people from store level to chain level.experienced different personas and passing my knowledge to different staff and developing them into other areas of management.challeges i have come across would be staff challenging me and busy times where we would experience technical and logistical issues and still had to provide good customer service.through all this to learned how to better manage through all and better at what i do

Good
We had transport that deliver us to where we are staying stright on the gate. They gave use uniform. They could call you and ask if you will be able to work on weekends or not in order for them to schedule you.They were not giving us lunch but we were enjoying our work

Good exposure and experience
Challenging environment to be in, but can be also quite rewarding. Always a pleasure meeting customers on a daily basis. Administration of the business is quite indeapth with the intricies of processes. Staff are amazing, good attitude and moral.

Learnership
we work from 8am - 4pm every day excluding weekends. The relations with my line manager and other employees is fine, we can work individually and also as a group and communicate very well. I have learnt about the organisation structure, different system that are being used, analysis, creating report, mysql a little.
Pros: learning new skills
Cons: stipend is too little, not the experience that is aligned to my qualification

I am currently on Wholesale & Retail learnership program
Working at Edcon as a sales a assistant made me realise that there are opportunities within the retail industry. It helped me to be a strong person as I interact with different customers on a daily basis. Acknowledging and assisisting customers professionally. The challenge I came across is my schedule getting changed without being consulted. The relationship with other stuff members is good though not all of them. The most typical day is working at fitting room and when it is time to be relieved for tea break or lunch there is no one.
Pros: As a disabled person I'll be happy if I can be permanently employed

Growth and development opportunities
As a manager/executor at the store level, I do morning huddles where I communicate the financials of the store with the staff, I check that everyone is ready to serve the first customer by looking at the appearance, wearing correct uniform with name badge visible to customers. I ensure the cash float is issued correctly to cashiers and the store is ready to accept the first customer in terms of OHSA act. I check the hazard counts in high risk departments like cellular and branded items. I randomly test the product knowledge to ensure that they know what are they offering to customers including daily promotions.

Oppetunity
Data Capturing ,Attention to detail, hard ,Auditing ,Indexing Boxes working ,patient ,work well individually and in a team ,friendly and helpful if unsure about anything would rather go and seek assistance but try to solve on my own as well ,striving in the task as hard ,taking pride in the work that has to be done .eager to learn and better myself ,trustworthy ,honest ,respectful ,a excellent understanding with my colleagues and Management, willing to go the extra mill. patience and understanding, keeping an open mind , Team work ,the pleasant and welcoming atmosphere at work ,the challenging aspect is dead lines that needs to be met but its exciting I like a challenge you learn things that usually a person would take for granted in the sense of simple ID number ,foreign countries how the work and utilize education and currencies in there countries, always something new to learn and keeps you thinking logically. The company is has its own self learning portal to improve you skills and abilities .

Multi tasking
I enjoy what i am doing...i like do different tipes of work like multitasking to broad my experiences.I like a challenge...I like helping customers....and i like them to be happy when the left the store....i like to be a to assist myanagers in every way if they let me.. most what is know is about to asked staff that is longer in company..and i always work as per policy
