Vast of experience and knowlenge gained. Growth as an internal auditor

It has been a great learning curve to work for a government department. I got the opportunity to work at different line of work from finance, strategic, environmental and economic fields. the internal audit team is quite big I got to lean to work in teams and also as individual. I enjoy interacting with different people at different levels as it enhanced my communication skills and reporting skills.

Pros: Great opportunity to work under pressure and different people at different levels
Cons: it is a big department

I learned how to work with different people

For me it was very challenging at the first day because I never worked at very busy place before but immediately when I learned how to answer the phone with manner and how to speak with client I started to enjoy my job, and I even learned how to do filling according to alphabetically, and i learned that I shouldn't have to allow any visitors to go through our office employees without telling the he/she here to see or to call our employees, the relationship it was good because the people that I was working with they were respecting me and I was respecting them because because respect is a good thing when You work together,I really enjoyed working there as a receptionist.

Pros: it was a great opportunity to work there
Cons: working from 8:00am until 4:00 pm

Experiential

My co workers and I have a healthy working relationship and i like the fact that they are so guiding on the things i do not understand. Through my work i have learnt to work with people of various attitudes and personalities. I enjoy helping people with knowledge on how to run sustainable cooperatives. The most challenging part is when they think that once they are registered they are entitled to some funding.

Pros: There is a great opportunity to get a job after my internship with the great experience i have been given
Cons: the inability sometimes to make people understand that cooperatives are also a form of business and are not only meant for uneducated people

Gained a lot of experience in the communications field

As I was attending meetings, writing minutes of the meetings as well as attending events branding of the site taking photographs and updating the department website, it was hectic but I learned to work as a group and individually as well as how to work under extreme pressure in order to meet up with dead lines it was a great and life changing experience indeed.

Pros: great opportunity for branding
Cons: working long hours as well as holidays
