Open to new possibilities

I am currently acting as the material planner due to the covid lockdown. Inventory control and stock levels are kept within standards and I raise purchase req's when new stock is required. I run MRP and ERP daily . I report directly to the Operations executive and have 3 store under my management including the International and local product support stores as well as the production store.

Pros: Development programs
Cons: Cashflow problems

Excellent learning experience

Excellent learning experience from the company. It has exposed ones business understanding to a large extend. During this period in the company I've had the opportunity to report directly to executive, since I was responsible for industrial engineering, Production and material management in the warehouse (as well as material on assembly lines) It has been good exposure for my growth in my career.

Pros: Dynamic and challenging environment
Cons: Lengthy and inefficient government processes prior to decision making

Gained plenty MIEBC experience

Great overall experience, learned a lot about MIEBC requirements, progressed into other fields of the job, missed training opportunities due to availability of staff, enjoy the policies application and changes over the past 2 years, also working with third party suppliers of medical aid and pension fund, payroll exposure was interesting as well.

Pros: Gained more Generalist experience
Cons: No growth opportunity as dept is really small

Team work is the best team

I have learned a lot in this company Many which was how to stand on my own and I felt that was a privilege because I was learning from my own mistakes Although the team work was excellent I learned a lot about how to deal with Co workers with different views on things and how to also look at things from the next person's perceptive

I enjoy the work environment and culture. It's relaxed yet getting work done and meeting major milestones, thereby portraying a healthy work life balance.

I work at Denel Aeronautics as Shipping and Arms Control Administrator, focusing on compliance, shipping, self audit, clearing instructions with different freight forwarders.
