Teamwork

The opportunities and team work is one of the highlights of working here.It is an equal opportunities irrespective of your race or gender.The jobs are not monotonous and the projects are different all the time and are challenging which keeps you on your toes at all times.

Excellent learning curve

Good working environment. Workers are well taken care of. There is an on-site clinic for workers who are feeling sick at work. There is great career pathway that can be followed into management position. There is too much salary disparity between managers and executive management.

Challenging times

Moving from the air force to the the private sector was a risk. But when l started at Denel Dynamics it was exciting. I was suddenly exposed to new technologies and new opprtunities. Now however the work at Denel has become more of a challenge than exciting. Although l work with a great bunch of people the whole SOE financial c crisis has made getting the job done so much more difficult

Great company to work with the best in the industry until the military market went down.

Working at Denel was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. The working culture is fairly relaxed as the teams work well together not putting pressure on each other. Planning is well done and everyone knows what is expected from them. The military market going down did not do the company any good financially causing a lot of frustration. We got to a point where government did not even know what Denel is doing causing them to lose focus on the importance of having the capability. Denel lost a lot of capability through the people they lost. It is ending up as a very sad story.

Pros: There is almost no promotion you just get your job altered to add more accountability
Cons: Working hours is fair and flex is an option but overtime is needed from time to time

Excellent for learning engineering process

8 hour work day with flexi-hours. Good relationship with fellow co-workers. Communication is not great and information does not get shared well. Good learning opportunities for junior engineers but slow progress to higher levels.

Cons: Little or slow growth in career.

Not a good place to work currently

Currently the place sucks. Workers are not receiving their salaries. C Seems the place will be liquidated soon unless the shareholders intervene with a very large cash bailout.

Excellent learning curve

a typical day at work is interesting. learnt a lot in the past years. we do a lot of sub assemblies and testing, maintenance and provide design inputs my relationship with my fellow co-workers is full of respect. we are different and diverse but have a lot of respect for each other.

Pros: great enviroment and learning enviroment. and opportunity for growth
Cons: no opportunity for propmotion
