Laboratory work

I am currently unemployed. I was a student at Cape peninsula university of technology and I recently graduated for B-tech in Chemistry . During my studies I was assisting in the lab with practicals and lab preparations for first to second year students. I've learnt how to prepare samples and reagents needed in the lab,how to arrange equipment and glassware inside the lab. The most challenging part was arranging different gases and disposal of waste after practicals so.e students will leave gases running and you have to make sure this doesn't occur to avoid danger in the lab. I've learnt how to be a leader and how to work as a team member.

Cons: Poor equipment

I can adapt the changes. I am fast learner. I see myself can make changes in the company.

Answering the telephone. Capturing the application forms. Doing copies of the documents. Fax the documents. Handling incoming and outgoing mails. Ability to work under preassure. Strong customer focus. Handling the queries. Problem solving. Time management. Working in a team work. Working in a multiculturalism environment.

Pros: I am a hardworking person
Cons: I can work overtime

Excellent learning curve

-filing -I have a good relationship with my co-workers. -I have learnt how to multitask... - I enjoy working with people. -Nothing is a challenge towards the job I like.

Good

i work as volunteer assistant lecture in construction management and quantity surveying department. usually my common day tasks are as follows, printing notes for lectures, sting up projector, capture-ring work on computers using different software's such as Microsoft, win Qs etc. i even facilitate lecture ring periods in absence of the lectures.

Pros: gaining of skills and opportunities for promotions
Cons: not getting payed

Excellent learning curve

It was great and exciting having to work with different people from different backgrounds. Having to deal with different attitudes and learn to deal with them, approach ability and conduct coaching to the fellow colleagues when changing the system.

Always hungry for work, and prefers deadlines, available for work overtimes when situations toss so.

My normal shift ; 8h30 to 17h00 I LIKE DOING REPAIRS basically maintenance. Spare time for me is to study Electrical components, operation of Machines.

Pros: I believe promotion comes with hard work, I get it but not working for it, my job is to get work done
Cons: Long hours at work, I spent less time at home, normal I am at home only Sundays

Excellent learning curve

I am a motivated, hardworking and independent individual; I have obtained Diploma in Human Resource Management in one of the leading University of technology CPUT. I take initiative when I am doing work and I am good in analysing problems and come out with a possible solution to overcome the problem or challenges and I am always about improvement and how to make things better.

Typical work day

cput is amazing place to work, every day you can learn new things regarding to technology, culture . Staff members are very professional. they are always looking to give the best to students

Pros: i did not have unnfortunately
Cons: i had only fixed hours which were suitable
