Good learning experience

I been a student at cpt for long now, during my time of study at this institute I have learn a lot. I have learned how to work under pressure, time management, team work and to get along with different people of different culture backgrounds.

Hard work and solving problems

The Environmental Engineering Research Group (EERG) is part of the Chemical engineering department at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, situated in the Bellville campus. The EERG has been established for the research and development of water management. Various studies on wastewater treatment have been conducted alongside the research on reverse osmosis membrane and biodiesel wastewater treatment for the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater. The work in environmental research has focused on applying reverse osmosis membrane on treating greywater. Their major target is to develop:  Skills to develop a unique strategy to resolve environmental and water-related issues.  Skills to absorb and digest a wide range of knowledge  Skills to deliver research outcomes properly

Fast learner,hard worker with excellent communication skills

In the company, my duty was first to deal with clients then after that, with the client's need I was given the task to maintain equipment and repairs them if needed. the devices that I was taking care of was computers. I learn how to assist clients in their need and that was a fun aspect to do.

Pros: working in this company was a good experience well taken,and i can guarantee fro for sure that with the knowledge acquire during my Engineering course, i am ready for my Engineering career.
Cons: taking extra time outside normal work hour wasn't a problem for me.

Great environment to start a career

Attend site meetings I have a great relationship with my coworkers I have learnt how to manage projects, conduct quantity Surveying tasks I enjoy the work environment Working long hours.

I am just me

I am just me I work well whether I am in a team or all by myself but i find it interesting to work with people because I like to observe and to learn from peoples skills and their journeys inspire me. I am quite an upfront person, what you see is what you get, though I might not talk a lot, my actions are there to show off how I truly feel. That goes with how I work I prefer my actions do the talking for

Great learning atmosphere

Typical work day: Marking and attending/ facilitating tutorials and practicals Co worker relaltionship: Pretty good, we share a lot of the work I have learnt a lot of patience and interpersonal skills that are needed to navigate academia as well as the industry. What I enjoy the most is the teaching.

Pros: Good room to grow academically
Cons: Extremely low salary

Learning curve and groth at the same time

The company is small and growing, ever since it was established it has attracted so many customers abroad. since Plettenberg Bay is a small tourist destination, it has attracted so many individuals from all over the country. Hosting matric rage at Flashbacks Pub and Restaurant has made flashbacks to be a best place for pens down for those who are doing their matric.

I am a very dedicated person

I have not had the opportunity to showcase my skills and I am very eager to do so. No matter how complex a problem is I never give up .my dedication has brought me this far and I know it can take me further . I hope I can get an opportunity to prove my worth .

Great research opportunity

Working at Cput has been both rewarding and interesting in that the exposure to very talented and experienced professors, researchers and academic and technical staffs is almost unmatched. At the end of the day it benefits me both professionally and personally and for this I am grateful and will certainly recommend this institution to anyone who want to venture into research
