It is purpose-designed following the cluster model, which strategically positions related and synergistic industries and their supply chains in close proximity to one another in order to maximise efficiency and minimise turnaround times. The Coega SEZ is demarcated into 14 zones, with the focus being placed on the following sectors: • Metals/Metallurgical • Automotive • Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) • Chemicals • Agro-processing • Logistics • Trade Solutions • Energy • Maritime

My Review

My objective is to obtain a rigorous and challenging experience in a corporate company environment. I want to be able to learn and contribute throughout such an experience. I have the firm conviction that I will be of tremendous value and an asset to any organisation that takes me under its wings. I am able to synthesize all the working experience that I have acquired through the years in working in various positions. This conviction emanates from the fact that I posses’ excellent work ethic, professionalism and good attitude, ingredients that make me fit with any company to achieve results.

Great learning experience

I started there as an Intern, and i have learnt and grow as a person in the company. I appreciate the opportunity i had be given. I have learnt alot and i became independent engineer that can handle two sites with +- 80 users. I am alo an hard worker and i can work under pressure and i communicate well with the users. I really enjoy my work as the Desktop Support Technician.

Pros: Great opportunity to grow as a person in the IT field

Good Management

I have over 14 years of experience in the construction industry You will note that now I am in the consulting industry where I am doing Project Management. My key performance area I just make sure that ISO Standards are enforced at all stages of construction

Pros: Well COEGA is an Implementing agent where they Impliment Goverment Projects as well as Private Organisation Projects.
Cons: I have improved my skills and Experiance in Project Management and Construction Management

Extremely pressurized; physical work; challenging tasks; very tight deadlines.

I have been in this organization for the past eight years, in exactly the same position. There is absolutely no opportunity for growth and development. As I am stagnating by being in the same position for the past eight years, I am seeking alternate employment in order to learn, grow and develop. I am able to provide an organization a whole lot more than my current post allows.

I am currently working in a BPR project assisting the NDPWI with their business processes.

It is a company that allows one to grow. I joined that company when I just finished my first degree. I am now doing a Ph.D and the company is funding my studies. I have occupied various roles. I have been to multiple projects generating millions of rands.

Excellent learning curve

I am currently employed as a Programme Administrator within the Robben Island Programme at Coega Development Corporation (CDC). Academically, I hold a Btech qualification in Management majoring in Management and Financial Management obtained in 2014 from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU).

Great place to learn about corporate work culture

Very challenging but overall great place to be at. Strict deadline and allot of responsibility. Great team of people that know what it is to be a team. Overall pleasant place to be laced with beautiful all round people.

Pros: Its a big organisation, with opportunities but also has its challenges
Cons: At time, hours can be long but very fair in the sense that when you are expected to work overtime, you are catered for.

I can work under a lot of pressure I am deadline driven
