An excellent Buyer

I like being a buyer,i enjoy it very much,exspecially when i have to persue the customer.I have a good relationship with my co-workers.The customers is my highlight of the day.when they leave my shop with a smile then i'm also happy,they treat me with respect therefore i do too.the most challenging to be a buyer is how to persuade the customer and end of the day both me and the customer are happy.

Pros: No opportunity for promotions
Cons: The hours is long,i don't mind working but for this type of money it's not worth it,the only thing that keeps me happy is to be a buyer and the customers

Excellent learning curve

Anwering telephone calls, filling , printing of loan documents and signing of loan application forms, working without supervision and in a team. Submitting loan form for verification to the head office on a dailly basis before approving a loan, checking if the client has been blacklisted due to non-payment, making sure that all approved loan are recieves the money on time and those that do not undertsand how to use the e-wallet card has to be assisted. Helping the debt collection team with making sure that the money is paid on time on a mothly basis.

Pros: Chances of promotion are very slim
Cons: Retail hours

Flair for figures. Admin orientated

I enjoy working with figures. I like Accountancy and would like to further my studies. I have worked at different companies in different roles which makes me an allrounder. I like to share knowledge as it helps my colleagues to function in my absence.

Good learning and skill building, customer orientated, requires multi tasking

Purchasing of stock on a daily basis, comparing prices and buying the right product at the right price, being abreast of new markets trends on technology and pricing, learning how to handle handle difficult situation and make that same situation benefit both me and the customer, I have learned to understand than being understood, I have learned to be assertive and strong, I am goal driven and willing to learn new things

Excellent life experience

Cash converters is a good company to work at ecspecially for me cause It was my first job, and got employed as a cashier and was also taught how to arrange all the admin work and later upgraded to working at a personal finance center where clients apply for a once off loans and three months ones. The staff there you'd swear we were cut off from the same cloth.. We are one big family and I've realized that a person is a person no matter how small so respect is our first names in that store and to cut the story short I would refer either a jobseeker or a customer there always.

Learnt to be more observant and to be patient

At Kuaia healthy food I learnt that working with hungry consumer is not easy. Cash Converters I learnt to know how clients can lie about paying their bills when they really don't have money to pay and how easy for a client to take a loan with thinking twice. Real Estate I learnt to be patient and to work under perssure, plus I got to be the middle person between buyer, seller and the conveyors a lots of work but I likes very moment of it.

Excellent learning curve

The company has a good working environment for new and young people looking to learn more about the retail sector. It is a learning curve working there as it is complex and has many divisions within the company. Every department has a specific requirement and skills needed for the roles and responsibilities.

Fantastic learning and growing curve to further my career in a management role in any sector

Work long hours 6 days a week doing many and all managerial roles. Good working environment with my staff and colleagues. Minimal time off especially during peak holiday periods or public holidays seeing as I was the only manager on site. Worked roles such as, store manager, retail manager, buy shop manager, HR manager, storeroom manager and merchandising manager. General all round management experiance.

Pros: Good step in the right direction to further my managerial career
Cons: Long working hours to many managerial roles, 5 to be exact and minimal time off

when we don't reach targets but we work together as a team I enjoy my work place have the best boss ever but pay is not good I enjoy working with people its so good at my work I cant wait to go back there the next day

It will help me to establish my career in the IT industry

I work in the Buying department where we buy goods from customers, do cash advancs on valuable goods and also get stock from wholesales. As a buyer you learn everyday, meet new people everyday from all walks of life and I have to make sure that every customer walks aways happy. The most challenging aspects of the job is dealing with a difficult customer however with time and experience, one get a to know how to handle every situation.
