I work with the Management Team in Technical, HSE & Quality Management.
I am currently employed as Minerals Division Southern Africa QHSE Manager & Technical Manager for BV Inspectorate Laboratories (a member of BV group) responsible for developing, maintaining management systems, accreditations and continuously improving business processes and customer satisfaction and also responsible for the implementation of effective HSE & Quality Management systems and process to reduce work related accidents and illnesses of employees, visitors and contractors as well as reducing our footprint on the environment. I work with the Management Team to assist them to improve their operations, activities and performance related to Technical, HSE & Quality Management. I perform the job in the framework of the HSE & Quality Management Systems, the Code of Ethics and the appropriate Group policies.

Excellent learning curve
I am so grateful for the course I have chosen as my career path. Although at first I was not sure of it but now that I know the importance of what gets in my hands in a daily basis I thrilled by the outcomes everyday. I proud to be one of the incredible team those are my colleagues because with a combination of our effort we are able to save lives out there by delivering quality results. As I'm growing and groomed by all the challenges I face, I continue to love and enjoy been part of the scientific individuals who are passionate about science and molecular science.

Homely and good learning opportunity
Small close knit family of workers everyone is helpful. From testing grease and oils at blendcor i now have exposure to petroleum testing as well. Only con is i am not on a set shift. They have me as a reliever for when others take leave or have to go to richards bay. So that sometimes clashes with my plans.

Fast learn ,a good team player, always looking for a challenge
It pleasing to work at a Port ,meeting a different National and sharing our differentiae while working. To be able to solve any problems with shipments. To inspect the going on board (in a vessels) it feels good and give a pass/go ahead it a good experience

No room for growth
Employees not recognised or appreciated, no room for growth,no bonuses. No salary increases unless you are the boss's favourite. They make promises which they do not deliver on.
