Excellent Training Institution

I work more than the required hours per day due to the nature of the work that I do, I report for work at 7:30am and leave at 4:30pm. I have a good relationship with my team members, I am an open person, friendly and very eager to learn. Through my article years at AGSA I have learnt the importance of working in a team, having respect for different cultures and different age groups. I enjoy getting to meet new people, meeting new clients and building the confidence of South Africans through auditing public sector. The most challenging aspect of the job is the extensive over time worked during the reporting periods.

Excellent learning curve, great exposure, good training

Good company to work for and would recommend it to other candidates, work over time sometimes, good pay, great fun time after audits are finished. Good team work, proper performance management system. Follow ups are done to ensure all required competencies are met.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Overtime and travelling can be hectic

To work at the AGSA

To a great extent how hard you work depends on an individual and also how demanding the client is. There are great hardworking colleagues, as well as poor workers as well. Growth opportunities beyond manager level are limited.

Pros: There is room to improve a lot within the work system
Cons: Sometimes hard work is never rewarded and due to historical issues, more older employees are paid higher salaries for doing nothing.

Great opportunity

Being part of the Auditor General family has allowed me to be a great leadership. I have obtained remarkable auditing skills that will help me in the future. I have improved my skills on emotional intelligence. Having served my articles in this organization had been a phenomenal time, as training was provided to shape us into the auditors we vision yourself to be.

Best work experience

lExcellent place to pass all your exams and become a professional, as the company provides great study support. Limited exposure to tax and IFRS as most clients are on GRAP and MCS . Salary is the best, when comparing to the big four, not including the paid overtime, travel incentive rates and bonusent place to pass all your exams and become a professional, as the company provides great study support. I have worked for the company for a good 4 years ans presents a good learning curve. It is a big auditing firmsl presenting with good learning opportunities.
