AGA is trying hard to stay ahead despite the economic conditions and so doing at the expense of many who have been retrenched. They have shed waste and in so doing have played unfairly to keep their so called best despite the law which governs section 189 dismissals

To be the best customer service provider
Ensure daily efficient logistics and supervision of the warehouse in terms of Material availability, Maintain good stock levels Expedite Ensure that material condition is according to the Mine specifications (size, serial number, colour coding, quantity, physical condition, test certificate, delivery note and tax invoice). Maintain good housekeeping and safety in area of responsibility. Assist and develop co-workers. I enjoy the convening of safety meeting before the start of the day, discuss any possible hazards and how to eliminate them. Check material availability for the day and week. Where necessary expedite with Suppliers for in time deliveries. Liase with end-users to establish the stock levels. I have learnt that it is important that the material reaches it's point of destination in time for them to perform their planned work and produce positive results to sustain the company.
Pros: There is great opportuning of development at Anglogold by attending relevant courses and training. You also have an opportunity for self development and the company assist by paying the fees of the course relevant to your work. You also have an opportunity to be in an acting capacity
Cons: We only work long hours when there is a back log and underground emergencies and do standby

I am a very technically minded person
I got the job cards/work orders from the supervisor in the morning meeting discussing the requirements of the day and safety aspects there off. - every artisan had a vehicle due to the distances we need to travel for High Voltage supply that was our responsibility - Went out to substations, pump station , fridge plant, booster fans, main fan, backfill plant, yards and much more to do repairs and planned maintenance The culture was safety orientated and providing a service to the production plants - Hardest part was the standby week - long hours and physical exhausting due to the nature of the job
Pros: • day to day job planning • labour management • Daily green area meeting • contractor supervision • filling of shift logbooks
Cons: Weekly standby and stay on for breakdown and maintanence

Excellent learning experience
I learned how to operate conveyor belt when I was a logistics miner I learned how to use polc(plan,organized, lead and control) as I have worked with so many crews I learned the duties of miner and shift overseers I work in production

Excellent learning curve, for I am a trackess miner but the mine does not specialize in trackless.
A typical work day at my current company starts at 03:00 in the morning, long shifts for our shaft is very deep, to ensure that production keeps flowing I have a very good work relationship with my crew members. The most challenging aspect is that the mine does not specilize in trackless mining, and I am a trackless miner.
Pros: Excellent benifits
Cons: No promotion oppertunities and no overtime. I was engaged for a project but due to circumstances the project was stopped.

Excellent communication
Excellent communication skills very eager to learn and grow. I give my all at whatever task that is given to me. I always want to improve myself as i learn and teach others the knowledge that i have.
Pros: Currently im relieving Met Statistician at my work place. My bosses see the potential that i have.
Cons: I work 8 hours a day but it can go up to 12 hours

Exceptional experience
I had the opportunity to work in a big company with a lot of employees. I also had the opportunity to work with the most experienced Human Resources Practitioners, who taught me everything there is know about recuitmemt and labour relations. The year that I spent at the company has taught me more than I expected.
