Anglogold offered me a learning opportunity.
Working at Anglogold is an exciting experience. I have learned and gained lot of experience over the years, from a plant Operator and having to grow through the ranks to management position. Finally work on the engineering discipline on the Planning field. My day to day work was to raise Work Order for Work management on SAP system. Planning of shutdowns and maintenance. Scheduling such maintenance and coordinating resources for such work. I had a professional and dedicated team of women and men at my disposal. Everyone of us knew their role and how they fit,-in in the whole team in order to close the loop and to obtain results. I have learned the importance of working as a team. To take my job serious and to work without been followed or supervised. I also learned to be responsible, because I knew that one single mistake could cause a company dearly. Every aspect of my job needed to be executed carefully, on time, being the right job.
Pros: Punctuality at the workplace is very crucial and to be ahead of the schedule at all times.
Cons: If the job demand some extra hours or knocking off late in order to submit a project on time, then extras hours will be imperative

A go getter, ambitious, self driven, working under pressure
I love working with different kind of people from different countries, they bring in that self confidence of who I am and courage to learn more about other cultures. I have a great working relationship with my co-workers. daily work was to see that everybody is placed on the rightful working places, dealing with legals for employees, leave planning, the most challenging was to see that I have enough people for the daily production and also enough people on leave according to the budget

A learning and experience gaining path
administration from day to day main responsibilities, good relations with co workers with different cultures was making may environment conducive. good working relations, respect and communication brings out best results and i enjoyed interacting and learning new ways of facing different challenges.

To work at my company is good beside that person need to grow in career. Co-workers are good who have love and follow the company procedure. Have learn a lot logistics how to handle my job been depended and always meet my target in time. enjoy doing my job especial when i complete my target.

Great company to work for
It's a good and excellent company, I joined the company having no experience at all . I was given an opportunity to grow within HR department through on the job training and job rotation. I worked my way up from Data capture clerk to HR Officer and exposed to Senior HR Officer role through relieving whenever there was a need. Given another chance I will work for Anglogoldashanti again. I'very learn to work independently and underpreassure especially reporting to different line managers which was difficult to please all the time but commitment and reliability pays off makes it easy and fun.
Pros: through hard work chances of promotion are great
Cons: dealing with difficult employees and line managers working long hours and no overtime payment

A workplace is always a learning place
My typical day at work involves varieties of challenges which might emanates from, to mention some; workload, deadlines and diversity. For and example diversity is one of the most common day to day challenges as older colleagues tends to impose their opinions to the younger and males subordinates tends to undermine instruction from young black females. Because I'm people driven its easy for me to get along with most as I learn other people's traditions, cultures, believes and preferences. The most challenging is to have a lot of work and having to meet deadline then my supervisor assign me other tasks which could've been done during the week.
Pros: Always a platform to perfect communication skills with line management
Cons: Front line management always wait for the last day to submit and less opportunity for promotion

Learning and growth are important factors in life
Typical day at work would be to ensure that mining plans are updated according to set legislative standards, production figures reported from the survey department are accurate and representative of what is underground. Ensure that mine designs and schedules are done in order to optimize production. Plan and execute all survey and planning department duties of the day. As a believer of team work and a strong team player, I enjoy working with my team and I’m known to always try to resolve conflicts before they escalate to point of no return. Have been praised by team for being a team player and someone easy to work with. Within my job I enjoy working with people and seeing a team succeed in set task. The most difficult thing is working with people as we all have different behaviors and a skill I learned earlier in my life on how to work with people and be part of a team.
Pros: Working as manager in training opportunities for growth are great
Cons: Working only in mining field and want to explore other fields where I can utilize my project management degree

Iv learnd a lot during my time at the company
I have learnd a lot during my time at this company but im looking for some thing new there is no developmant for me for future time at this company the company is slowley sinking and i dont want to go down with the ship while there is stil time for me im going to look for some thing new and exiting a new chalenge maybe a job were there is develpmant to the future for me iv enjoyed my time with anglogoldashanti but i have to move on to some thing bigger and better and i hope that i can finde that soon
Pros: There is no pros you get your salary a small petionfund a medical that takes the half of your salary and a small housing allowens
Cons: Working hours from 02:45 to 12:00 and sumtimes stay ons and the working conditions are super dangarous and cheaplabor
