Great training institution

We worked 8 hours a day from 8:30 until 16:15. I worked with a team of of 10 people, two of which were my juniors. I assisted the manager wig managing the juniors and guiding gh on the work that needed to be done. We created an environment in our team whereby we were open with each other in terms of the work and were not scared to ask each other for assistance. I have a great relationship with all my team meme Ed’s. I have

Focus on growing people

The company offer excellent growth opportunities. This includes various development initiatives. Also all ideas are welcome and I feel I have a voice although sometimes risk averse in exploring risky ideas with huge payoff potential. The job can be demanding with long hours which can impact time with family.

Pros: Opportunities for growth
Cons: Long work hours

I enjoy working with other people as I am a team player

Since moving into the audit space, I have learnt the importance of team work since audit is all about team work. One audit opinion from work done by a big team.. I normally start my day by planning tasks I need to finish on the day. I then look at my calendar to ensure that I am aware what time are my meetings. I always try to prepare as best as I can for the meetings. I enjoy the technical discussions with my colleagues as I believe a lot of learning takes place during such discussions.. The most challenging aspect about my work is when I do not get information from the client or the information is provided very late

Pros: Great opportunity for learning and development
Cons: Long hours

Excellent learning curves and challenges

On a day to day I oversee the trainees. Review the work performed, allocate work as well as to provide guidance when called. I am a very patient and easy to get along with person who finds fulfilment in assisting others. I have learnt to be more of a all rounder in terms of sections of the audit I’ve been responsible for. I’ve learnt people management . I enjoy working with others, learning new things and being in new ZA. What has challenged me is having to manage a large number of people in share space of time and keep track of my progress at the same time. I’ve learnt a lot in the process.

Pros: Broad experience in different areas such as AFS, performance information and compliance
Cons: Long working hours for a number of months
