You learn something new everyday

what I have learned in this line of work, is to be patient and accurate. I got to work with health departments which made me work with a lot of different people from all walks of life. Learned a lot about HIV and mental health. I enjoyed the travelling and collecting of data.

Pros: New projects every year
Cons: No night shifs

Its a great place to learn

There is a lot to learn in terms of system use, technical jargon, hosting. But no rewards for working hard and being loyal. Constantly changing rules with no notice. For example today you can give a password to someone who is not an account holder, following day you can't.

Pros: Lunch, gym, insurance medical aid.
Cons: Long hours, no incentives, no appreciation of working hard.

I enjoy building webpages/ websites from scratch, translating designs from a psd or sketch file into a interactive bodies of work and delivering within provided timelines. t

Pros: Free employee choice of internet connections e.g LTE, Fibre, VoIP, medical aid, pension fund
Cons: Not enough work throughout the course of the year for Juniors, low Junior salary for someone with my experience, knowledge and perserverance

Free to be myself, Fun to work with colleagues, Great environment

The company is great, it is expanding at a fast pass . The company culture is also great . Typical day starts off with cereal and coffee then quick catching up with colleagues and then on to work. Relationship with colleagues are truly amazing some at are okay not everyone is forced to like each other but we manage to work well. I enjoy how transparent everything is and how everyone is themselves. I find the unplanned overtime request a problem at rimes only when I have made really important appointments or bookings the salary could be better as things do also change

Pros: Benefits and growth
Cons: unplanned overtime

A typical work day

To work at Afrihost is good and challenging thing to do reason being that we learn about new products almost every week and you must be able to adapt. It is sometimes quite challenging but at the end of the you will be able to understand and learn new things. The relationship with coworkers is amazing because everyone is friendly and helpful. i have learnt to be able to work on your own without needing any assistance. What I enjoy the most is the work environment.

Pros: great for building up your cv
Cons: less room from growth

Computer Literacy Packages Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet explorer

-A typical day at work for me is, I’d deal with phone calls and emails resolving; ADSL, Fixed Lte, mobile, Fibre (connectivity) and Hosting queries. -I have a pretty much close knit and very fun working relationship with my co-workers, we’re honest and respectful towards each other. -I’ve learnt about hosting, how Domain management works, and it’s life cycle phases. -I enjoy solving hosting queries at most. -The most challenging aspect is assisting an unhappy client, or one who does not corporate with me.

Pros: -Great Opportunity to move around different departments
Cons: -Underpaid
