Great colleagues but relations with higher management is strained. Remote working is not looked at favourably and it feels like management doesn’t trust we will do our work if we are not in the office. Typical work day is to do some scoping of new requirements as well as supporting users with day to day problems on software. Have learnt to deal with users patiently and to handle conflict. Enjoy scoping requirements and documents.

Excellent learning curve
my typical work day when i get to work i do my daily bank . load Student refunds if i have them, load Vendors on the system. i do journals. my relationship with my co-workers is very good because mostly we work as a team
Pros: getting an opportunity to to work for a school and learning how to deal with students

Learning curve
i load Vendors, pay Student refunds, banking, Clearing accounts, bank reconciliation my relationships with my co-workers is good because we mostly work as a team i enjoyed banking

Good to get ieb experience
In general the company is okay to work for. It allows for IEB experience. Be prepared to do jobs you were not told about. The worst is teaching two subjects per grade.

Growth and development -continious education proficient skill-set in projects
I am a property development manager at Advtech, developing Greenfield, and Brownfield sites and responsible for converting existing buildings for education purposes. Responsible from site acquisition, town planning, architecture, budgets, construction and contract management.
Pros: Education, competant, responsible, lateral-thinker, problem solver

Gain great work experience, work with students
Working at Varsity college was a great overall experience, i have gained so much knowledge regarding the process of working with contracts, people, finance, sports, and the different courses that people study in. The day started of my a meeting where we discussed the problems/issues we had yesterday and then we will arrange where all of the team should work today and their responsiblities. During the day we will assist the our co-workers and full-time employees with issues they needed also done if they had to much work to handle. Our team was like a small family that worked together, we consisted of about 30 people who handled 2000 contracts in total or had gone thru the team at the end of the registration time.

Strategic implementation and growth potential is limited.
While it is great being able to work with students, while having some additional responsibilities such as general admin, marketing, and operations, the very limited salary and severe limits on growth in the company, makes it difficult to stay there for too long. A typical workday would include: Class prep Class Student support Strategic planning (Depending on the time of year, events, etc..) Market research Dealing with parents I get along with most of my co-workers very well.

As a young woman, I have learned to stand on my own, I have good adaptability and good communication skill. I am open to new challenges to develop myself and push my limits further. I completed my Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting May 2014. I have 4 years of experience.

Learnt an amazing amount
Stable company to work for. Wonderful work environment, flexibility, allows the ability to focus on many different avenues, happy clients. Over promise under deliver to staff.
