I have learnt more than I had learnt at the previous establishments i have worked for

To ensure that The IIE is fully compliant in terms of all the applicable contracts and agreements and that the IIE is not in breach of any terms and conditions. Tracking of contracts and agreements, what needs to be sent out and updating of the Agreements, Contracts and Partner Tracking system. Keeping abreast of changes to The IIE policies and procedures and communicating to the Registrar and Director how the changes would affect the Governance structure. As Secretary to the Senate and various committees within The IIE, I am responsible for preparing meeting packs. Drafting the meetings timetable, considering the calendars/diaries of the Registrar, the Director and the Heads/chairpersons of the committees. I ensure that the agendas, minutes and memos of the Senate and committees are prepared in the highest and most accurate manner.

ρ Worked on the VIP Premier system

I have worked at Advtech HO (Group HR & Payroll) for +/- 9 years. I have then worked for Aurecon Pty (Ltd) for 14 months doing all their International (Dubai & Qatar) and also African Countries salaries when Advtech approached me to work for them at one of their schools (Maragon Private Schools) as the HR & Payroll administrator. I have a good relationship with my co-workers. I enjoy doing payrolls and to get involved with HR issues, I have learnt a lot. The most challenging aspect of my job is to get paperwork approved on time from HO.

Pros: Want to grow.
Cons: Don't want to travel so far.

New industry experience

This was a new challenge for me as it was new industry that I never worked in before, best part that I enjoyed was dealing with different cultures young and matured individuals who had so much new ideas and outlook on life as students as well learning new things everyday by working close together with professors and advisors.

Pros: Great opportunity to study further
Cons: Not much room for growth unless you want to become a professor in a certain subject to teach students

Relaible

Currently I'm very ambitious and wanted to work with a team, to share ideas, for the interest of the company. As I'm been working as a Reception, Administration, Secretarial, Office Assistant, Data Capturing. I'm aware of what the requirements. I'm confident I wound be a great addition to your team. I worked well under pressure. I am organized, and manager my time well. I have ability to follow instructions well. I can offer ideas and energy, increase the efficiency of the department, and use my interpersonal skill to impress.

Great Corporate environment

Working at a school has its pressure from time to time. The most demanding time is when the year begins - a lot of Admin work is required but beyond that, theres a lot of downtime in betweeen. We go for team building sessions which is the reason why the employees at Advtech are like one big family and the Culture is great

A numbers person who is very attentive to detail Proactive and able to use own initiative

Excellent company to work at

Great people, great culture and learning environment. Was a great place to learn an grow as young gentlemen entering the work place. Responsibilities comprised of public speaking at schools around South Africa to attract new leads nationally for Varsity College. I got on great with my coworkers which was the best part of working there Therefore I represented Varsity College nationally to increase awareness of Varsity College as a brand. The job too consisted of project management, customer relatonship management, strategic planning and travel planning in order to assist the Strategy team in national office. The most challenging part of the job was targeting schools that were of lower LSM by means of investing time into potential schools that could not afford Varsity College. I enjoyed the traveling part the most as it give me much cultural insight to South Africa as a whole and the potential markets that can be penetrated in the future.

Great place for new graduates starting in the work place

Assigning calls that reach the service desk via email and phone calls.Troubleshoot and resolve.Followup and update logged incidents and liaise with relevant third party to purchase hardware.Build a report reflecting on logged calls that reach service Desk. The relationship is healthy with other employees and we respect each other and beliefs.In this environment I have learnt to work with various people with respect and compassion.

Gain great work experience, work with students

Working at Varsity college was a great overall experience, i have gained so much knowledge regarding the process of working with contracts, people, finance, sports, and the different courses that people study in. The day started of my a meeting where we discussed the problems/issues we had yesterday and then we will arrange where all of the team should work today and their responsiblities. During the day we will assist the our co-workers and full-time employees with issues they needed also done if they had to much work to handle. Our team was like a small family that worked together, we consisted of about 30 people who handled 2000 contracts in total or had gone thru the team at the end of the registration time.

Strategic implementation and growth potential is limited.

While it is great being able to work with students, while having some additional responsibilities such as general admin, marketing, and operations, the very limited salary and severe limits on growth in the company, makes it difficult to stay there for too long. A typical workday would include: Class prep Class Student support Strategic planning (Depending on the time of year, events, etc..) Market research Dealing with parents I get along with most of my co-workers very well.

Pros: Great staff surrounding and a beautiful setting
Cons: Low promotion potential, low salary
