Exellent learning curve

Working at Ethekwini Municipality Health Unit was great because all the Co - Workers there was Good and professional and we had a great working relationship. I have learnt alot specially in data related skills. The thing i enjoyed the most is the ability to grow by coming across new tasks and challenges everyday.

Excellent in troubleshooting and configuring hardware and software

I'm currently working at ethekwini municipality as an it Technical support intern, I'm in a contract of 2 yeras which will be finished on Novrmber 2020. My job ideal Troubleshooting and configuring hardware and software . Assisting users remotely Computer set up I'm running windows 10,Microsoft office 365,Microsoft teams upgrade projects.

- Days are filled with pressure as we attend call outs based on SLA

- Days are filled with pressure as we attend call outs based on SLA - The team is big with various departments like Wireless, Security, Voice and LAN/WAN teams. The people are diverse and easy to work with -I have learnt more on routing and switching, wireless networks , VoIP and Security practices. -I enjoy the accountability and responsibility of being in the public service.

Cons: Pressure to attend multiple High priority call outs in a short space of time

Excellent learning and growth opportunities

This being the municipality, it has various departments and this makes growth very feasible. Also with the student assistance loans or grants being granted to staff, one can always grow academically.

Budget recon payment certs social facilitation technical solutions feasibility study & planning

A typical day at work would consist of setting up meetings with the implementation stakeholders, compiling and populating of minutes, budget recons, payments certificates, etc. My post also requires alot of social facilitation as it is for Human Settlements which can be difficult as politics influence most decisions and requires one to be level headed.
