My typically day starts with phone calls at about 5 am with someone reporting late or sick. I arrive at my office at around 6am and start with e-mail scheduling to report absent and/or sick tech's and then proceed with trip reports for the day and overtime for the day, i also check leave and sick submissions and arranging trips for technicians for installations and assist at branches. I have counselling sessions with technicians and do hearings,warnings and charge sheets for the technicians. I approve and manage repairs in w/shop for fleet vehicles of +/_ 280 vehicles at head office alone. Checking and approving overtime, assisting technicians from uniforms,pay queries technical advice etc. Arranging fitment drives and roster for after hour fitments. Checking Quality Audits, average fitments and photo downloads. At times interviews, Kpi and assisting disgruntled clients.
Pros: Always so much more to learn, great team.
Cons: Very stressful at times, prior to my appointment had about a dozen other employees all did not last more than three months

New challenges every day. Broad customer base.
Company with big potential and growth opportunities. Head office based in Rosebank, JHB with most of the company functions centralized. At branch level the management style and expectations differs from region to region due to customer activity, industries and culture. Staff are all well trained and work strictly to company policies and procedures. Cartrack provided vehicle tracking solutions to individuals, fleet owners and corporate clients. The needs differs from client to client and Cartrack will provide a solution to fulfill all the needs of the client. Biggest challenge is to provide tracking solutions to large vehicle rental companies, putting a lot of pressure on technical staff 7 days a week.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Very far from home and the traffic is a nightmare. I also have to travel on a regular basis which is difficult as I have small children.

Great experience working at a JSE listed company and getting Company secretarial experience.
I am currently an employee at Cartrack Holdings Limited as Group Legal Officer and Assistant Company secretary, assigned to attend to all legal matters within the business as well as assist with all company secretarial functions. My primary focus is all legal matters within the business as well as with the statutory duties of the Company Secretary. My experience at Cartrack ranges from commercial and corporate matters ranging from sales, marketing and human resources and litigation management. Cartrack’s head of office is based in South Africa, but my role extends to all of the branches within the group.
Pros: Great exposure and experience
Cons: Poor culture and little recognition for hard work.

Great oportunity for learrning
We worked as a family extremely supportive management team who are always ready to to assist with everything and anytime. Micro-management you are given a change to do your own work without being watched all the time and u have a right to your own opinions. Team building, leaving early on Fridays. Great commission and incentives. Awesome working working environment where everybody gets along and professional all the time.

Stable environment
Stable environment but working hours are too long. No opportunity for growth or promotion. Management is very sexist and uses a lot of profanity. Overtime is forced and standby is unreasonable. Even your off days are not truly your right because you can be booked for overtime forceably regardless of whether or not you have other personal commitments to attend to.

Excellent Learning Curve
Im a dedicated person , who takes his job seriously and enjoy working with people . Im a team player and a good listener whos able to provide clients with great customer service . Phone Etiquette is one of my strongest abilities as I enjoy helping or assisting clients with regards to the problems they are facing . I've came across challenges whereby I cant help the client's next of kind due to "Company Rules" and for the fear of losing my job I had to explaing and again comply with the rules . My previous job taught me on how to make a person to listen with understanding and to be polite and explain in full detail with either their preferred language , so we can come to a better understanding and conclusion .
Pros: Hardworking , Focused , Asking Where Necessary
Cons: Working long hours can be tough , you need to be well rested and you need energy to keep you going through the day or night

Fast paced and demanding
This is an autotocratic business lead by a truly interesting and driven owner manager who does not allow executive decision making and discourages disagreement with his views. It is a culture of fear of failure where every penny spent is scrutinised and evaluated. Contracts with customers and suppliers are merely suggestions rather than legally binding. People do not matter - profit matters.
Pros: Steep learning curve
Cons: Work 24/7/365, very aggressive and limited communication, people do not matter

Very passionate about learning new things
I'm hard worker who likes challenges willing to learn strong personality with colleagues always like feel being wanted easily understand each other's personality can easily adapt to a change meaning new management etc Thanyou
Pros: Working at cars track gave or educated me in many ways as it is a large company I had to experience and learn in different departments and duties such as being a cash book clerk and technician
Cons: We work overtime always even sataday and Sunday of which to me that is not a problem as it put money on the table all I do is to sacrifice
