Working on Fire
In my Portfolio I management the Gauteng Province with regards to Human Resources and Payroll. My typical week would include Planning and Meetings on Mondays. Tuesdays to Thursdays are usually spent on Facilitating Training, in Disciplinary Hearings, Workshops, Line Management Support and Representing the Company at the CCMA, and Fridays are spent writing Reports and doing Administration. My relationship with colleagues is professionally friendly. I have a good relationship with Line Management/Operations and I maintain this with constant communication and workshops on Human Resources Policies, and Legislation and Consistency in company Practices. I enjoy creating an enabling environment for the company to be able to achieve their Strategic Objectives. I also believe that if there are any changes in the organisation, there should be a well structured Change Management Process to ensure that these changes cause minimum disruption.

Excellent Learning Curve
I have a very inclusive management style and for this reason working here cave me the opportunity to deal, engage, explore, develop, and structure my workplace in an effective, productive, pleasant environment. Every day has new challenges, that needs to be dealt with which makes it exciting. The people I work with are somewhat stressed from time to time, but have a common goal in achieving the objectives of the organisation. I enjoyed the people my department services the most. Being a funded program budget are always a factor.

HR Administrator
I have four years’ experience in HR Administration and two years’ experience in Fire Fighting. I have good verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, analytic skills and ability to work under pressure. I can work independently and in a team and have the ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality as required by the Human Resource Practice.
