IIt was a bad experience as the principal was new and clueless. The staff was unhelpful, devious and plain mean. The community runs the school. Everybody wants to be in charge of the school. I would not recommend anyone decent to work there.

Pros: The pay was good.
Cons: Bad attitude of staff and principal.

Working at WCED

A typical work day was me dealing with students facing all sorts of problems, from different homes and backgrounds. Play a role as a safe space for them. I have learnt to be patient and work as a team as I did referrals to other colleges. The most challenging part about my job was to consistently have your mental health prepared for other people’s issues that they face.

Pros: Short hours.
Cons: Dangerous area.

Excellent learning curve

I am a very friendly hard working individual who can work with anyone dispite race age or gender. I am a loyal self motivated person. I am a very good leader and a team player. I can improve and time management skills are excellent.

Study bursary if interested

Working for WCED is quite good. The institution I was placed at was also good to a certain extent. Due to unfairness and backbiting I decided to leave.

Started as a admin clerk, so i can handle all admin work

I am the finance officer at the primary school, handling all finances of the school, write out cheques, write out receipts, design payslips for Grade R teachers, doing banking of monies, doing the schools books...

Pros: will go an extra mile to uplift the work of the company
Cons: 8 hour

Excellent learning curve and people skills to work with anyone from various back grounds.

work days are normally from 6am till 6pm. I have good relationship with most co workers. Hard work and good administrative skills makes the work load a lot easier. the part of the job i love is working with different kind of people with various back grounds. The job as a teacher have a lot of challenges, but mostly the ill discipline and dont give a damn attitude frustrated me a lot.

Pros: Four holidays
Cons: Long hours with not enough financial gratification.

I am currently the ICT coordinator, it help build my technical skills.

Its great working for wced. At least the bosses care about your wellbeing. Time off for doctors visits is self managed. It is a very stresfull workplace and its difficult to manage through your emotions.

Good learning curve

Teaching was an excellent learning curve. I however wish to do something else instead. It was always my dream to do Accounts Management and Human Resource Management and I would like to fulfill my dreams this year. I will only be able to do this if I'm given the opportunity.

Cons: Longs hours and a great amount of admin
