Excellent learning curve
AS A FACILITATOR WORKING IN A VERY UNDERPRIVILEGED COMMUNITY WAS CHALLENGING. I HAD A TRAINING MANUAL WHICH I WORKED ACCORDINGLY. ONE TOPIC PER TWO WEEKS. I FACILITATED A GR6 CLASS ON A TUESDAY AND A GR7 CLASS ON A THURSDAY, EACH FOR ONE HOUR. DURING THE WEEK I DID MY PREPARATIONS AND RESEARCH. MYSELF AND THE EDUCATORS WORKED HAND IN HAND AND WE HAD AN EXCEPTIONAL GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP. I HAVE LEARNT MUCH PATIENCE. MOST ENJOYABLE WAS TO SEE HAPPY, EXCITED AND INSPIRED LEARNERS.
Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: remuneration was extremely minimal considering transport

Assistent teacher and admin clerk
As assistent teacher and admin clerk i learn alot and it was always good to go to work and working with children to help them always let me feel good.To be at work with co-workers is nice and sometimes you learn alot from them,the best part of being with my co-workers is when we discuss something or work together that is where i learn i alot of things how to work together and what is my responsibility.The most i enjoy was helping children and learn them how important it is to finish school.challenging at work was exams time when i gave children extra class to be the best in they work and harworking and hard working in everything

Teaching
TEACHING - Meet for daily briefing. Meet class of +-45 learners. Teach for 32 of 35 lessons per week ( ave time of lesson 50 minutes). Deliver curriculum (CAPS) as prescribed by employer. Assess learners knowledge through formative and summative assessments. Grade papers. Many hours of after hours work! School dismiss at 3 pm, but normally work at school until 4.15 pm. Opportunity for promotion extremely slow! My previous work experience in Private sector enables me to see things differently to colleagues. I love interacting with colleagues and share resources, knowledge and I lead a team of motivated educators. I enjoy teaching in my community( close to home), empowering youth, develop skills and promoting positivity amongst learners - a can-do attitude! The most challenging aspect of my job is REDTAPE, huge amounts of ADMINISTRATION and UNFAIR Salary structure!
Pros: Job security, enjoying school holidays with children
Cons: extremely long hours, few opportunities for promotion, Low salary compared to Private sector!

Easily adapt and accept positive critisism
I am a hard working person who likes challenges and eager to learn. I have a good sound of judgement and knowledge of GLP, quality practices SHEQ policies and ISO 17025. I am very much adaptable to new skills and procedures, able to work under pressure and willing to take responsibilities. I am also reliable, self – motivated and always ready to work even as a team. I am a well defined educator, with clear vision and well informed to understand ideas that are important, useful, beautiful and powerful and have the appetite and ability to think analytically. I am also a technical person and have worked with different instruments and therefore; understand the technical environment and its responsibilities. I have worked with instruments like AA, ICP, GC-MS, XRF, Particle size analyzer, pH meter, UV-VIS, TGA, FT-IR, SEM, etc.

Intern
Hello my name is Xolani cindy Zoya i am working at wced as position of intern for one year contract i working with a large group of people my experience there its very broad in office service in the examination sections,script section.in the office service i am doing my data capturing of payments for invigilator and marker's in the exams section i am scanning grade 12 scripts to the system ready for marking center,i am doing filling sorting of seating plans answering phone going to the marking center in the marking center i am script control where i can make sure that no marker's would remove script to the building, I've learn a lot how to work with different people in different sections so my vision its to work and grow up within company see my self having a higher position in the company.i have code 10 licence. regard. Cx. Zoya
Pros: its hard to get promotion for me because i am working here as intern for one year contract
Cons: working hour its 7:30 until 4:00 o'clock normal time

Excellent learning curve
its fun working environment with people that are helpful to each other. I enjoy spending most of my time and also working with kids. education is very important to every human being so we try to make it even more interesting when working with children. I have gained my communication skills here and teachers and senior level members have been good, kind and patient with me. but its a contract so that's why I apply to other posts because I don't know what tomorrow holds. I enjoy being in the lab helping learners understand the computer at an early age. the most challenging aspect is that I am worried about the contract that will end pretty soon otherwise I enjoy every single moment here.

Good learning curve
Teaching was an excellent learning curve. I however wish to do something else instead. It was always my dream to do Accounts Management and Human Resource Management and I would like to fulfill my dreams this year. I will only be able to do this if I'm given the opportunity.

Great learning in a poverty stricken multicultural community
A workday starts with porridge for learners.There are many unique challenges everyday especially with the learners'discipline.The colleagues try to address situation asap and deal with situations in context.We have a great team spirit and aways try to be objective in decisionmaking.I had learn to apply the audi alterem rule and it is very satisfactory to see learners behavioral change

A different learning experience
This Internship was most days routine work. get in at a certain time do what is expected of you and get off at a certain time. If the PA for the department was not in on certain days I had to fill her duties and also all administrative tasks, since the department does not have Admin staff. You always have to respect fellow co-workers no matter their "rank", I had an excellent open relationship got along with almost everyone. I have learned everything for SCM, HR Matters,Phone etiquette, to booking traveling arrangements procurement and such, filling keeping records of everything you do, etc. Enjoyed dealing with HR matters most ( leave, retirement & appointment). Nothing was hard enough of a challenge, but I do enjoy a challenge or doing thing outside my comfort zone.
