Vopak has provided me with a platform to further increase my experience in the project management
the Vopak projects team is very diverse with many disciplines. my role in contracts and procurement is managing the EPCM with a focus on delivering the project on time, with the correctly specified goods and with in the allocated budget. awarding of tenders and tender adjudication is a key role for both purchased and contracts. In my current role i ensure that the EPCM works with in the Vopak hse and process / procedures. working at Vopak has widened my knowledge of the project field where im more involved in the decision making and the outcome of the project.
Pros: Great exposure to project environment
Cons: long work hours and lots of stress but that comes with the kind of responsibilty

Excellent
Fast paced environment, lots of challenges. Building of tanks and replacing existing infrastructure. Great team work effort. Learning how to build a successful Project. Engagement with leaders in the feild.

Excellence Learning curve
My First time electrical installation was a success to certain extend they never took time to promote me being supervisor. I had great opportunity on tge management level to tge point they give me the heart of the plant (Substation) electrical installation. I've learned much the MV, LV switchgear installation. What a good experience

Great company and has a good future
None. Nothing positive to say about the company at this present moment due to the treatment I have received. With the future plans abs company growth ideas. It will be a good company and good opportunity for young individuals to get upcoming positions. Excellent learning curve
Working at vopak taught me alot with regards to handling storage and shipping of chemicals and dangerous goods.been the senior operator I was in charge of all operations on my shift together with the shift leader and 4 temp guys working under me all to ensure a productive day.
Pros: I learned alot at vopak I studied got to do small courses
Cons: Hours was not bad 12 hour a day shift 3 on 3 off

Challenging position and rewarding
Vopak project enviroment is intense yet challenge with new opportunities presented each day the team as a whole are supportive and asist as a project
