Good company to that has growth

I'm currently a self employed distributor, distrusting mostly nestle products. It's a small company that is slowly growing. The exciting part of distribution is that you learn a lot from different people which adds value to one in the world of sales and distribution.

Exccelent learning curve

manage over 75 Primamary vehiles plus about 26 admin staff members as well as 5 Primanary delivery vehicles with 18 staff Distribution to about 17 depots aqcross KZN and EC

Dealing with a very short product shelf life.

Manage a very short shelf life of a product. Manage deliveries and consumption at a retail level. Launch and push innovation through in house personnel and the third party distributors. Drive volume performance through the in house staff and third party distributors.

Cons: Risk as it is a cash business

Great stepping stone for my career

This company gave me a chance- they raised me as a profession and invested in my career by taking me through my postgraduate studies and through driving school to get my drivers license. I will never forget the experience felt working for a company that wants to see you thrive!

Good learning

its a very busy day but with co-operating co-workers which builds a good working team, I have learnt time management, working under-pressure with accuracy, team work, ability to work independent. I enjoy being busy and learn new things from my team mates and share ideas with them, the most challenging aspects of the job its when the machinery gives wrong results and you have to repeat over and over again.

Work

I work in a friendly enviroment. I have realistic targets. I have no problem working under pressure. We have a lot of pressure should we have a problem with our product. I manage 3 drivers and truck assistants. I call on all customers that are within the Midlands area. I am rated by how my litres we sell per month.

Pros: Opportunity to grow.
Cons: Job done right the first time.

Company helped me to achieve a lot in life when it comes to educational qualification

I learnt how it feels to work under pressure , how it feels being an expert in your department and how it feels to work hand in hand with other colleagues. I really learnt a lot from the company

Pros: Started as General Welder ended up a Qualified Welder
Cons: 12 hours are the longest hours I ever worked

Adapt to change

fast paced environment that needs one to adapt to change easily ,great company to learn within especially new market ,management change from time to time and company get sold to new owners every 3-4 years
