Experience in a call centre and creating good relationships with people

As Mentor I was required to work 19 hours and the environment was not hostile supervisors were always there to assist and always encouraged mentors to be patience ,professional and keep confidentiality those rules also applied at the admission call centre .what I have leant when I was working was that patience is important and you must be flexible ,be able work under pressure during the exam periods where students need your attention and in the call centre calls came in dozens . what I like the most besides forging good relationships with mentees is when they get high marks after I had sessions with them . what I regarded as a challenge was when students set dates prior to their exam time and I had to squeeze them in my schedule and in the call centre was the impatient and furious parents who were waiting on the line and want their students admitted in a late application which required calmness and patience no matter how exhausted you are.

Pros: experience in call centre (such as taking calls and using microsoft)and ability towork in high pressure environment
Cons: long hours

the combination of working while studying gave me practical experience showed me that it is possible to multi_task . I have build a strong relationship with the departments round campus. my work is very demanding what i enjoy most is that it keeps me focus an to think out of box. working with student is most challenging thing i ever experienced but i learnt that i should stick to my duties that are given to me and stay to the principles to matter what .

Pros: great opportunity
Cons: reasonable working hours
