No learning

relationship with co-workers is good, my day to day work is not interesting, I have learn mostly on how to manage the projects, and I have also covered most of a quantity Surveying work. I enjoy the to be with my co-workers than to be with my boss.

Pros: No opportunities for promotions
Cons: I'm working long hours

Too much exploitation

• Gather requirements for the creation of Cost Centres • Implementation of new working practices within existing business framework • Manage the analysis of SAP user training project and implement • Undertake user and system test plans for FAS project

Great opportunity being able to to work on Mega Projects.

A normal day at work:- 1. meeting with the team, 2. meetings with contractor 3. follow up on procurement 4. check up on contract administrators 5. make sure QS's are doing remeasures and evaluating CE's 6. making sure engineers are responding to an queries 7. management reports 8. client engagement 9. Board meetings, etc...

Pros: Great work experience.
Cons: Too much politics at managment level.

Excellent learning experience

I have learned so much during my training programme at Transnet Group Capital and it helped me to tie the theory that I studied in my degree to the actual work.

Pros: Great opportunity for learning (development)
Cons: Contract based
