The not so Good Busby
I work in a very friendly environment and and typical day consists of liaising with contractors about project cost and payment structures. i collect quotes, create purchase orders and request payments I have learnt negotiation skills and the ins and out of the business with regards to store development. The most challenging aspects of my job is that we are a team of two and handle a lot of projects at the same time. The company doesn't replace staff but adds additional work into our daily KPA

Great training and professional environment
Best thing About this company is that they offer accredited learnerships in retail operations. Which becomes a stepping stone for The individuals who have done the learnership to have more academic experience in the retail sector. Working hours are flexible .I have amazing colleagues .

Excellent learning curve
In my occupation as a controller at The House Of Busby, it is always new bookings everyday which in turn over the past few months and a year, has taught me a lot i never knew about purchase orders and gained quite a great experience from them. My relationship worth the co-workers is quite bad due to the fact that there is no team playing and a lot of segregation from the line. The one factor that drives me to seek for greener pastures is the fact that they never recognise your efforts and expertise. What i enjoy most is having to deal with the clearing agents directly. I feel like i am now doing what i have always been doing because of the previous experience i have in the industry. The most challenging aspects of my job is the approval of bookings which go through many 3PLs. That's confusing when you have to follow up on the final approval of the goods that need to be expedited.
Pros: Great opportunity to learn supply chain if you are new in the industry

I Have become a leader - thank you!
I have become a leader at the House of Busby and have loved every minute. I am caple of developing strong relationships with both our internal and external customers. And I strive do drive a culture of partnership with our service providers.
Pros: Complex business model that keeps you at stretch and demands performance improvement daily
Cons: I have not really had any bad experience other than a recent instability with regard to top leadership. I wish the new management well and am confident they will take the organisation to the next level

Good working experience, the people and a great opportunity to learn within the business.
Today would be different from the next day. The workload always kept me on my feet which enabled me to work under under alot of pressure. I've managed to learn all the different aspects within the HR Department from HR Adminstration to Recruitment, being able to chair a disciplinary hearing and finding better ways to conduct Recruitment within the business. The
Pros: Great learning curve and great experience within the HR department
Cons: Long hours from time to however I think if the business would be more effective if things were paperless and more electronic

Extensive experience possessed
I have been working as a data capturer for over 4 years now. I believe with the vast knowledge and ecperience i have acquired in this field all this make me a valuable team player. Im focused, hard working and have attention to details. Im a team player who easily get well with people.
Pros: always willing to grow my career.
Cons: being teamed with colleagues who lacks passion in what they do.

Excellent Place to Understand your perceived limits and push through
I have lovd working at The house of Busby. I have expecially loved being part of a team and leading a team. I enjoyed teh pressure and the ability to keep myself at stretchve loved every minute of being here! I have grown and learnt and discovered that I am most comfortable leading a diverse driven team. While I am a supply chain specialist, I enjoy to development of people within a team and to lead from the front. I am capable of building excellent relationships with customers both internal and external and form true partnerships with service providers. I am not financially exposed, however do not shy away from budgets or making good profit from all opportunities.

My highlights in the past two years
My highlights last year in Whitezulu: Employed a little over 60 unemployed youth and worked with Department of Labour nationally, SETA's ,Ekurhuleni West College and lot of big freight and logistics companies My highlight this year: Coordinated a Christmas party for grannies and preschoolers in the squatter camps of Ennerdale as Busby's CSI project.

Great team
Great company to work for, growth is emperative, I grew from sales assistant to Visual merchandiser, Assistant manager and now Store manager, I even won the Best manager of the year 2018 award for the whole House of Busby group
