Not impressed

So far i am not impressed. Long working hours 30 minutes lunch working 12 hours daily. From what i have seen most of the staff wants to leave some are leaving already. We are working hard and getting short time for resting.

Great learning opportunity

Working here is both enjoyable and challenging simultaneously. Continuous liaison with staff and co-workers is a must, which may pose a great challenge considering the different personalities and characters of each co-worker. While constant interaction may sometimes be challenging, it is also one of the best traits of the job. The work environment is very relaxed yet all work is done and submitted before or on deadline. Here, I have learnt to better handle conflict and to understand different characters and their unique reactions to situations.

Pros: Good opportunity for learning and gaining hands-on experience

Good communication

It was good to work at Sunshine my colleagues were very supportive and had kind as a well as my managers were good to us i enjoyed working with guy's i felt supportive around them because they always

Pros: It was funny and good to work in this company because we were also given opportunity for doing jobs which are highly in grade
Cons: Our working ours were about 12 hours.

Excellent knowledge obtained

Working environment is positive and Co workers all do get along the envorment itself is warm and I have learnt alot through my years at Sunshine and developed alot of key skills needed

All rounder

I had a good relationship with co-workers. I have learnt to be the all rounder since it was a new depot and we did not have enough staff. I have enjoyed working with some of the manager who were willing to assist and teach me the easiest way to perform some of the tasks.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion since they were opening new depots
Cons: Working on public holidays

Excellent learning opportunity

This is my first job after graduating and it has been a chance for me to gain knowledge about the industry of supply chain as well as obtain relevant experience. My current company is a small company which means I am exposed to alot more then I could hav been had I been part of a huge enterprise. My only concern is reaching the ceiling there and not limited opportunity for growth. Company is also a family business which means there will always be challenges in trying to implement change with top management solely consisting of family members of the same race.

Pros: Great example of starting from the bottom
Cons: Long hours and salary not living up to what a graduate should be earning

Good

It's ok. A typical working environment i learnt a lot and made good relationship with co-workers .What I most enjoyed was the fact that I learnt to do different types of things in this industry. - The most challenging aspects of the job had to be the long working hours that one has to do.

I siyabonga Nkala who posses a National Diploma in Operations Management and currently working for Sunshine Bakery in Pietermarizburg. I started as operations Intern fresh from Durban University of Technology and now am in the position of acting shift manager.

Pros: I am a motivated person and goal driven who works to the best of his ability and work smart and effectively.
Cons: Am current work overtime,public holidays and night shift
