Excellent learning curve

The thlateThe experience working for Schauenburg is excellent , my day normally starts with urgent queries as the is a high demand for parts to satify production and for technicians to service the mine What i have learned is working independently without supervision, and to understand the mining sector business. The relationship i had with co workers is excellent as we work hand in hand with other departments The most challenging part of my job is sourcing as the engineers need to approve specs before accepting the new part when the supplier is late or there is a shortage worldwide.

Pros: Great opportunity
Cons: Long working hours

Great learning experience

I'm doing something I didn't study it in school but I'm enjoying it.im a qualified FITTER but I got an opportunity in electronics industry im enjoying doing repairs on PCB and also testing them its challenging working with small components compare to mechanical but with my colleagues guiding me I'm learning a lot.

Pros: Good opportunity for being promoted to technician
Cons: Working on new products every day which don't give you time to prepare

Slow progression to higher positions

Basically do the same work everyday with a small amout of experience being gained daily and maintaining the same insteuments daily can get a bit boring. Working hard doesn't neccesarily pay off if you aren't at your supervisor's braai every weekend.

Pros: Its a job
Cons: Possibility of carreer advancement is limited.
