Sacks Packaging Reviews

At Sacks Packaging I enjoy interacting with people in different levels of the organization. I communicate with the employees every day, during quality circle meetings, attending production meetings, safety meetings and conflict meeting. Planning my job for the day very easy, motivating, controlling, leading, organizing as well as disciplining. The most important thing I've learn is to be responsible, accountable for what ever is happening in the absence of the management, be able to take decisions, solve problems and most importantly to encourage employees to be self disciplined and be safe. Attending production meeting where I engage with management discussing production issues, problems in the department, what needs to be done, who's going to do it, and when. The most challenging aspect of the job is where I need to achieve my schedule adherence with little resources that I got.

Pros: Very little chances of getting promotion since the management structure was changed from the Supervisor to the Manufacturing Manager, no managers now.
Cons: working continental shifts, 2X12HRS

Autonomy to Accommodate and Assimilate

My work includes the support of the activities of my team. A typical work day will include handing any queries in terms of efficiency lags and quality complaints. I am responsible for creating customer narratives in terms of complaints, new product developments, innovations and technical evaluations. This many times involves personal interaction with a hands-on approach. I possess a transformational leadership style and an am active proponent of EQ. I am an inspirational leader who uses influential power rather than coercive. My career span includes general worker to senior management levels – I have learnt a lot and am still learning. Interaction with people is my greatest enjoyment & the ability to ascertain the need and put a plan of action to alleviate the need. The main challenge of my job is to interact at a strategic level and operational level, with various of personalities, constantly, while ensuring that the team and business suffers no loss during the process.

Pros: Worked with some of the best people in the industry
Cons: Limited opportunity for development and growth

Great and challenging

It was great to work at sacks packaging they hired me as a forklift driver, i was loading and offloading Trucks. after some time they tought me to drive a machine called Clamp which they use it mostly cz it company that print papers so I learned to drive that machine, and it was a great experience. All the workers were friendly even the supervisors and Management . The job was so challenging because I have to drive a forklift while I'm still driving Operators called me on my radio to give the paper reels so I have to be fast and cotious at the same time, so they can get what they want on time. it was a great expirience

Pros: after 3 months if you are a hard worker you get promoted or permanent
Cons: we were working 8hrs but they changed to 6 to 6 shift we worked 4 days and we off 4 days

A good learning experience

Well basically I would say we learn something new everyday, this is a good way to interact with different types of people. there are a lot of challenges which we face however the best way to overcome this is, Is to take it one step at a time and find the best solution. I enjoy the challenges that I face on a day to day basis because this improves my service and shows what I can go through to make sure my customers are happy.

Pros: Promotion
Cons: 8 and half hours
