Excellent

Room to Read its a fast pace working organization which operates in 10 countries. It is very interesting organization to work for, you learn new things every day and you are not retsticted to only do what is on your job description. The most challenging aspects of the job is that you cant only focus on what you have planned there will always be something that requires your immediate attention on daily basis. I have a very good working relationship with my colleagues we work very well together.

Pros: There is no oportunity for growth
Cons: Long working hours

It was an excellent learning curve and growth point ngo

working at an NGO has given me so much exposure, going to work id always plan my day or week for the tasks i needed to do and goals i needed to achieve. I had a good relationship with my co-workers, strictly ethical and professional. I've learnt that in the workplace you go to work and not to make friends. in order to achieve the organisational goals you need to put a lot of effort towards it.

Hard working

I have been working as a freelance DTP for both Shuter & Shooters in Pietermaritzburg (12 years) and Room to Read ( 3 years) . I am a quick learner and will dedicate myself to learn any new task as soon as possible so as to be beneficial to the company I work for, I have no more family responsibilities so that I can dedicate myself to my career. I can start work immediately. I have always got on well with my co-workers in all the companies I worked in. I love designing books - currently finished grade 1 and 2 language learner books for Room to Read.

I am a quick learner and master new tasks very quickly.

I get along with co-workers easily. I have learned to ask if you are unsure of what to do before making errors. I enjoy designing new books for education purposes. As in any job, there are times that you really have to push to finish in time, but even though it is a challenge, it is rewarding to finish your project in time.

Excellent learning curve

It's good opportunity for a person to learn and grow so that you can face difficult situations in future. Employees must just have to take initiatives and make sure they meet deadlines and reach their goals at the end of the year.
