RK Sauer Construction Reviews

Life is a Journey

My day starts with a list of to do items from most important to the least. Many times co-workers ask for my assistance with their projects. I enjoy helping them and sometimes learn from them as well. Being from a consulting back ground the construction side was a eye opener. I have learned to see things from another perspective. I enjoy managing the resources required as well as the occasional GCC or JBCC ''battle'' that has to be resolved. The most challenging aspect of the contracting business is to manage the cash flow and resources over various projects. The part of my work that I enjoy less is the constant struggle with consultants that always want to through the book at any situation but disregards any feedback from other parties.

Pros: Fantastic support structure and all purchases are controlled by top management.
Cons: Travelling to sites takes up huge amounts of time

No space for improvement

It's been a pleasure to there in the beginning but gradually the relationship between staff and management deteriorated. Work self wasn't that much of a challenge...been there done that. Co-workers were never a problem, we worked on a ask if need, want and don't understand basis. Most challenging...not being appreciated.

Pros: got more civil experience
Cons: dead-end
