Wonderful company and staff to work with

presently I am unemployed and the last company i worked for was RBS and my contract ended there end of December 2017. At RBS I was a claims administrator in the Legal department and my job was to recover our company`s financial losses in terms of claims settlement per motor accident. On a typical day i would be calling up other insurer`s, attorneys and even uninsured people in order to recoup our financial losses. also on a daily basis i would update our files, spreadsheets, diary and CIMS, whilst keeping client`s apprised of new developments.

Pros: this was a great place to learn
Cons: they only offer contract work, no permanent jobs

Excellent learning experience

I’ve been working in the Insurance industry for over 30 years. I’m been employed with RBS (Risk Benefit Solutions), in the IAS Division dealing with Hollard mandated claims since September 2009. My personal style is prioritizing, thorough and I am hard working. I consider myself to be a patient, caring individual & I have a strong work ethic. Consistency in the standard of work I deliver; I’m dependable and a definite team player. In my last position I am exposed to both commercial and domestic claims in addition to domestic underwriting.

Very busy reception

My typical day at the office is extremely busy and can be very stressful. But I'm able to cope and handle the pressure that comes with the role as it's a very high pressured environment. Being sober, reliable helps a lot. My role as a receptionist is to provide services to external and internal clients meaning i oversee to the entire running of the office, from stationery, groceries, parking, booking meetings for high profile clients, maintenance of printers, ordering of cartridges and toners, contacting different suppliers for different office needs etc etc. I have learnt how to priorities tasks from order of importance and especially multitasking something I thought I would never be able to to. As challenging as the role is but I enjoy being around my colleagues and being in a relaxed and beautiful office. the most challenging aspect is answering calls the whole day and having to see to other office duties.

Pros: The working hours are great and office location is easy for me to get to work on time
Cons: Having to answer calls while attending to internal staff needing a service

Willing to expand on my personal goals by being a team player and leader.

Looking to expand in other areas of insurance and grow sales and staff knowledge of the industry and technical advice. Team work is key to success in any business which in my view lacks in most. Encouragement to make staff achieve goals is key as well as support through tough times.

Cons: Prefer not to work on weekends

Good

Am Ongama Funani age of 28 am hard worker am very delegated to my work, I can work under pressure and as individual. Am on easy person to talk to, am open person, honest, am trust worthy.

Pros: I don't like people that spend a lot of they time on cell phones during work time
Cons: I like to finish today daily task

Great Company to work for

Very busy environment Very good relationship with co-workers and clients have learnt a lot started out at the company as a filing clerk I enjoy my colleagues and work satisfaction Client can be very challenging

Pros: You work with a diverse group of people, management and staff are all great
Cons: clients can be very intimidating

Insurance clerk

Too much administrative duties for too little incentive. Job is purely Sales orientated and doesn't pay for customer service even though it's mainly customer walk in based. No room for real growth. Only good is that I write my own monthly salary through sales.

Pros: Can write own monthly salary through commission structure
Cons: Too much admin for commission offered
