My type of work involves working both in the office and visiting operators to conduct audits, inspections and investigations in their sites. Good prospects for growth
My typical day at the Railway Safety Regulator involves a whole lot of interaction and stakeholder relations. In any given day I would ensure that the Executive Managers, Heads of Departments and Line Managers are happy and satisfied with the manner in which labour related matters are being handled particularly where it involves conflict, discipline and grievances. It is such an exciting experience, one that allows any professional to learn new things.
Pros: Better opportunities for growth and development
Cons: keeps one his toes at all times

Human Resource Practitioner with 6-7 yrs of experience.
My company is a busy environment, most of the time we deal with external Stakeholders and our clients as the Regulator to the rail industry. We are a young vibrant team supporting each other. When I joined the company, I was not exposed to employee relations today I am fully responsible for ER administration and assisting Line Managers on ER matters. Our company have young employees of which I like that as it shows future for tomorrow to the company. The most challenging aspect for me is to rotate to other departments every six month.
Pros: Learning Curve
Cons: No acknowledgement
