Pricewaterhousecoopers Reviews

I enjoyed interacting with people from very senior right to the interns joining the firm.

My previous role played a major part in how I deal with both clients and internal staff not only in a professional way but also understanding the diversity of our people. I have the ability to deal with senior professionals being partners within the firm, clients (particularly at senior levels, CEO’s, CFO’s) where I interact to set up meetings or refer them to our internal staff who can assist them further in terms of what they will be requiring.

Pros: Great leaders, great opportunity in learning different things, team work was superb
Cons: Needed to adapt to changes very quickly which happened almost every 3 months

Challenging environment

Working at PwC provided me with excellent work opportunities to grow and learn about auditing, advisory and relationships. A typical work day includes coaching associates who reports directly to me, having meetings with clients (including executive management), reviewing work performed by associates and reporting to management. I have a good relationship with co-workers and it is important for me to spend time getting to know my co-workers and to assist them to grow their careers. I have learnt that auditing is a lot broader than what the text book prescribes. It is important to win the respect of the client.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn and grow
Cons: Long working hours; inconsistent working environment

I love new challenges so i will get to learn more

It is a 8 to 4:30 job, it a very good environment to work in and my colleagues are also very friendly and helpful as well. You get to meet new people in our environment and you learn new things on daily basis. and the challenging part i guess is dealing with difficult clients as they have different demands and we all have to meet them.

Pros: There is a room for improvement
Cons: The hours are fine

Personal Growth

Working for PwC has been a complete culture shock as they are my second employer since I started working. I have learnt a lot about myself as I would spend most of my days at work alone in the office. Self discipline has played a huge role in me being able to achieve set goals. Coming from an environment were I used to attend meetings and prepare presentations, to a position were I was only limited to answering calls and emails, with the occasional travel arrangements. I find that there isn't a lot of opportunities for support staff to grow. Whilst I enjoy working with my colleagues, being idle for the better part of the day is time wasted. The job lacks challenge but meeting new clients makes up for it, partially.

Pros: Great exposure to the different businesses and services (clients)
Cons: Not much growth opportunity for support staff

Pros: Fair opportunity for promotion and flexible working structure
Cons: Forced medical aid choice. Long hours.
